Chapter 9 – Recovering
The morning after Eva’s fight Jana goes to Nancy’s office hoping to find out the truth about Eva. She considered ignoring her instincts about her new friend and to accept that everybody is allowed a few secrets. However, she has never seen Helga treat a girl like she treated Eva last night. Helga has been like a mother to all of them, always caring about the welfare of her girls. Last night she was the cause of serious injuries to Eva. She paired Eva with a much better fighter in a dangerous type of fight. She had many opportunities to stop the match, but she allowed Eva to stupidly carry on fighting.
