WEDNESDAY was not the only day Mr. Wiggins visited the art show. Linda reported that she saw him strolling unsociably around on Thursday, and when Steve wandered in late Friday afternoon, just before the show was due to close, he found him planted in front of the “Dead Ship” staring as if he were trying to find a flaw in every brush stroke.
“That guy doesn’t do my blood pressure any good,” Steve muttered to himself as he watched him finally leave the building.
