Schwab ---- (Mikayla) I didn't know why it cut like a sharp dagger over my heart when I heard him tell me that I had to leave, but it did. I was happier, happier than I had ever been. But August reminded me why I wouldn't belong here. For a fleeting moment, in a crazy minute, I felt like I had belonged in this place. The smiles, the laughter, the banter... They had made my heart stop hurting from thinking about my family, my picture-perfect family, broken into a million, unfixable pieces. I actually felt relaxed and happy, without feeling guilty about dad, when I fought with Elliott and then with August. Who was I kidding? This was temporary. E
