It was late in the evening when the young knight arrived at the place where Seven had instructed him to bring the young lady with him. He was told to initially bring her here to tend to any injury they both received during the unexpected battle they had encountered a while ago. He gently lifted the young lady who was sleeping soundly inside the carriage that the White Order had sent to accompany them.
He did not wake Julia and decided to carry her on his back. The coachman made their way out of the carriage and left them once they saw a man with a very familiar physique standing at the door of the building they were supposed to enter. The guy was wearing a coat the same as the one he was wearing.
When their eyes met, the said man immediately approached him and removed his hood, revealing his Asian facial features with his long black hair in a ponytail that did not reach his shoulders. "Zen, Seven asked me to wait for you here, in case you need to be assisted for a space trip."
The former added, "Open the portal, we are both injured."
"Have you engaged in a large-scale battle? I thought you had only encountered a Level C Unknown?"
He shook his head, "Yes, but the Emissary of the Flame was not only wounded physically, but also emotionally."
"What?"
"Just open the portal, Haneul."
"Okay, your wish is my command, younger one." His hands softly danced like he was performing a spell that caused the surrounding area to change from its original appearance. Later then, the exterior design of the door changed to a different one.
"I have already opened the hidden portal of the temporary headquarters here in Manchester." the younger guy nodded. "I still have to return to the Asian Base."
"Thank you, Haneul."
"Say hello to Seven for me."
"I will."
Loryzen, or usually called Zen by his colleagues from the White Order, took a step in the entrance of the said facility. Once he had entered, he immediately saw his most trusted colleague running towards him, obviously worried about the outcome of the mission. He greeted him together with two female nurses who swiftly assisted the young knight in placing the young lady on a stretcher.
"Zen! Are you alright?" His friend immediately asked. He would have waited for Zen to respond but he was caught off guard when he saw the lady they had been looking for for centuries. The Emissary of the Flame is with him.
Zen nodded, "I am, Seven. My wounds would eventually heal with the help of my Grail, but Julia's wound may take time to heal."
The latter scanned the young lady who was unconscious. "I used the resting spell to make her unconscious and to calm her down. Her emotions were overtaking her," Zen added.
His brows furrowed because of what his friend had responded, "Huh? I thought the two of you only hurt your spine? I even brought an orthopedist from the White Order just to check both of your condition."
"And why even bother bringing another orthopedist when you are one yourself?"
"Well, I am still overwhelmed by the emissary's presence?"
Zen sighed, "The Unknown was her friend, a lover, I may say."
Seven's only reaction was to facepalm. "Oh, that's bad."
"The stupid Unknown blamed her for the contract he signed with the Prime Millennium."
"And that's even worse. Have you already explained the hidden society to the lady?"
Zen shook his head. "Not yet, it would only trigger her memory. She had been awakened, because she saw how her friend's life ended."
"Oh, and now you lost a point from the lady!"
"It's not time to kid around, General Seven Percival."
"You need not to be formal and call me general everytime I am trying to break some icy atmosphere." Seven sighed. He was trying his best to remove Zen's serious tone.
"Well, I just reminded you of the things you tend to always forget."
"Oh, Zenny, shut up."
"Sir, what should we do with the lady after we take her to Dr. Winsley?" one of the nurses asked the latter.
"Bring her to the private room so she can undergo general assessment with comfort and complete privacy. Our men would immediately wish to see her once they heard that the Emissary had arrived." he looked at Zen, "I guess a psychological assessment is also needed?"
Zen nodded. "Okay sir, how about Mr. Bradford?" the nurse responded.
The other guy shook his head, "I'm fine. I only need a rest after I'm done locating the recruiter unknown."
The two nurses followed Seven's orders and left them in the entrance hall of the said facility.
"You go take a rest." Seven said.
"No, I'm not yet done with my mission."
"I did not say you are done." Seven sighed in frustration. "The White Order had already sent plenty of keepers to track the unknown recruiter in Manchester."
"Have you followed the man I have requested to be trailed?"
The former nodded, "Oh the doctor in disguise? Yes, we did and the keepers are on the hook, locating him."
Zen remained silent, "As for now, you first take a rest. You must be physically prepared when you face the unknown recruiter. None of us have any data regarding what level of Unknown he might be." Seven added. "It would be really dangerous if you would face a S-class Unknown, right?"
The latter nodded silently, "Knock on my door, when it is time for me to visit that kwak of a doctor."
"Good Job, Zen." Seven patted his shoulders as a smile was thug on his lips. "Thank you for bringing the Emissary of the Flame back to us."
Zen only nodded and walked on the way to one of the private rooms to rest. He may not rest for a longer period of time, but a limited relaxation will do him good. This is all he needs before he faces the unknown recruiter he has been looking for for almost a month now.
He would lie if he would not admit that he was not tired after days of tracking that creature who had caused chaos in the peaceful city of Manchester. Well, at least that unknown helped them with locating the Emissary.
Now he was looking forward to finishing his unsettled business with that doctor kwak.
