Aria's POV
"Lucien, Where?" My heart is beating frantically, my eyes on the look out for him. Chloe taps me, pointing to him about to descend from the stairs from the second floor.
I don't hesitate anymore, when I pull her away to a hidden corner.
"Aria. What's it?" She murmur, but I stop her but pressing a finger against my lips.
"Shh-shh, he will hear us." Chloe looks likes she trying to clock the sudden change in my behavior.
"why are we hiding?" Her voice is low and laced with unrevoked demand.
"I will explain later." I can only say, dismissing her with a flick of my wrist. I step forward, trying to peck out from the darkness.
Lucien sound of shoe on polish tiles, seem to draw near. Muffled sound float from afar and then I hear them. Lucien and Adrian in an active conversation.
