Her name rolled off my tongue like a forbidden fruit, and I was a man starving.
I watched her sigh and take a sip of her tea.
"Maybe that's what the Raffiel brothers are? Just teases?"
What the hell did she just say?
I heard Jayden take a sharp breath, which was never a good sign, as she looked up at us.
Before I could stop him, Jayden kicked out his leg, sending her stool flying backwards until it hit the kitchen wall, causing her to drop her cup of tea.
She screamed as she flew across the floor on her stool, and Jayden marched right up to her, grabbing her by the throat and pinning her to the wall.
Fire sparked in her eyes as she glared right back and then punched Jayden in the gut, making him double over.
