7.The days passed. Frank didn’t get in touch at all. I found my days particularly monotonous. I found it hard to concentrate on the documents I had to translate. Between these translations and the emptiness of my evenings, I struggled to keep from contacting him. I was always looking at my tablet and my phone, keeping an eye out for a message. Frank’s silence gave me a feeling of foreboding. I had to get a grip on myself, resign myself to and accept his rejection. I was going to go off the rails and my work would suffer as a result.
