Eva must have seen something in his face because her chuckling was interrupted by a c****d brow.
“What’s up?” she asked.
He had so much to say to her, but how the hell was she going to take it? How was he going to be able to function in the human world when he had lost those dearest to him? What if that happened again?
Barrel turned away, feeling exposed and vulnerable.
“You just amaze me, that’s all,” he spoke to the windshield.
Eva opened the back door and moved around to the front. She sat next to him, strapping her seat belt on. Her breasts were like a wonderful shelf he wanted to lean on for all of eternity.
