Chapter 1

Aubrey POV

It is a bright sunny day when my alarm clock started blaring. It's summer break so I have to get ready for the pool party today at the pack house. My name is Aubrey Dark Moon. I am the only child of Alpha Zeb Moon and Alpha Female Chloe Dark Moon. We are the combined pack of my father’s Moon pack and my mother’s Dark pack that she inherited from her father. My parents are very wonderful to me and to the pack. They are so in love and are super protective of our family and our pack.

I am trained to take the Alpha seat when I turn 18. My mom had her Alpha Ceremony on her 18th birthday. So they are planning the same for me. She hadn’t met my dad yet. They met when my mother had come to an Alpha meeting at dad’s pack and they have had a great love ever since. They decided to merge the packs so that they could devote equal time to both packs.

I am coming to my 16th birthday in the next week and I hope that I find my mate before I take my Alpha position. As werewolves, we can sense our mates when we turn 16. I will need to shift to my wolf to confirm since the wolves can’t lie. My cousins have had close calls that they thought were their mate but as soon as they shifted, they found out that it was not.

I have been best friends with our Zeta’s oldest son since we were pups in arms. I hope that we are mates. He is so zexy and good looking. But we have never dated. We also never fooled around. I want all my firsts to be with my mate.

Our pack is one of the larger packs so our pack house is more like a compound. It is huge.

Steven POV

I am Steven Crescent, the oldest son of 4 of the Zeta of the Dark Moon Pack. My family has been a part of the Moon pack for generations. When we merged with the Dark Pack, dad was asked to remain the Zeta and it was an honor. When I turn 18, I will become the new Zeta and I will serve my best friend, Aubrey since she will be my Alpha. We both share a birthday as our mother’s were pregnant at the same time. Everyone called us the twins growing up.

Aubrey and I have grown up together. I love her like a sister. She has hoped that we are mates. I know that there is no way that is true but I don’t want to break her heart. She is my best friend but I can’t bring myself to tell her that I am gay. It would shatter her dreams of the future. She never pushed us to fool around. She wants to save herself for her true mate, and I totally agree with her on that.

We have a summer pool party at the pack house today. My mom and the alpha female have been planning it for the last 2 months. I have had my eye on this pack member who I think feels the same for me but we are very discreet as our parents are very protective of relationships when we are young.

Heath POV

My name is Heath Stone. I am the new alpha of the Stone Pack. I just turned 18 last month and we are preparing for a pool party at one of our allies, the Dark Moon Pack. I have been looking for my mate for two years now. I am starting to think that she isn’t out there, but I hear that the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack has a really attractive daughter. 

My pack is located on the eastern border of what was the Dark Pack’s old territory, When the two packs merged, they moved closer to the center of the two territories. As we are all getting ready for our trip, I know my mother is excited that I may find my mate. There are alot of she-wolves in the Dark Moon Pack and there is a buzz amongst all our unmated wolves.
