CHAPTER09

By the time Mikael pulled to his father's house the weather had changed. It was drizzling. he could not imagine it raining now he had wanted to spend the few remaining weeks out door before he could return to the states to continue running one of his fathers legal pharma company.He stayed in his car for a few minutes bracing himself for whatever his dad had in store for him. it could not be that bad ,he had handled everything well plus no losses or complaints had been filed so it must be something else. He pulled his brothers new play station and ran in to the house as the rain had intensified.

The house was as he remembered, family portraits hang everywhere. his brothers laid sprawled in the family couch. from the way they were shouting Mikael concluded they were gaming and decided to let them be and proceeded directly to his fathers study. the old man never seemed to age and was always working as for now he was tapping something on his screen. Mikael cleared his throat loudly announcing his arrival. His dad stood and embraced him tightly.

Despite being a don he was a big squishy bear and Mikael really loved him. His cologne hit his nose and mikael held on to him tightly. he felt like home. He always did. he loved his kids genuinely and always supported them unlike their mum. he had missed his dad. memories of his childhood where his dad cooked and played with him and Luka after their mom left replayed in his mind and for a moment he was happy.

After what seemed like an eternity, he pulled and sat on a chair opposite his dad. After a normal check-up his dad pulled a plastic bag." i need you to find where this came from. It has been banned for decades now but suddenly an hospital in new york has it", his dad said calmly.he handed him the bag as Mikael examined it carefully. it looked like a birth control coil he could not help but wonder how the hospital got it when he was clearly the biggest supplier of all medical and pharmaceutical products." how did you obtain it anyway" ,he questioned his dad as he scrutinized the coil." my friend's daughter had it, they even lied she had cancer, it is either they are trying to carry human experiment on their patients or maybe they are targeting her because her dad is an important figure in the society." his dad told him as he stood up.

Mikael would not let him go without knowing the name of the hospital or the friend . he did not need to start investigating something and waste his time when his dad could tell him the whole thing, but he left him in the study without saying anything.

He was agitated, but there was nothing he could do. That was his assignment for now.he was going to involve Dami, who was a IT prodigy and get to the bottom of all this, he left the study and went directly downstairs where he found his brothers playing. he decided to switch off the game which earned him a kick on his ass by Luka . That boy was a brute like his damn daddy .on realizing it was him they only stood for a group hug. he pulled Dami and gave him the new console before he excused himself while pulling him along."are you two planning to kill us or what? i need to be involved too bloody fools", Luka complained not pleased at all. mikael knew he could not trust him with anything that involved technology so he had to lie to him." im going to teach him how to shave cmon dude",he replied playfully as they went to dami's room." i need you to find dad's close friend who has a daughter in New York i need the information by tomorrow", he told Dami as he walked out of the room he needed to sleep and ever since the incident 15 years ago he had never slept in the same house as his mother, he was just glad he jad not seen that woman .
