Morning.

Jack: wake up everybody we don't have time to loose.

When I stood up what I saw was the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life. Its all level up with low grass. Flowers covering the field, there are trees but not many. The sun is still deem so the breeze blow calmly, moving my mind back to the school backyard where I normally relax to think about the world and my life. I wish Xia was here to see this. Then my mind went to back to Megan. How I wish we are together. One thing bothered me though. How can a peaceful place like this be filled with silence and emptiness. It feels like no living organism here.

Dan interrupted.

Dan: do you guys see what I see.

John: yeah isn't she beautuful

Dan: She? beautiful? what are you talking about?

John: what?

Dan: am saying we have a long way to go. With the way am seeing it, there is no single building or place where we could rest or find some food. We should be able to survive but no soul lives in this peaceful place.

Jack: yeah I was thinking about that too don't tell me that those things are here.

Dan: nah those things don't move pass their territory.

Jack: am not talking about level three.

Dan: then what are you talking about.

John: yeah what do you mean Jack. ( getting curious)

Jack: let's go, just pray they are not here. Ahh what the heck. For a place to be these silent the stake of them being here is 90%

Dan: what is it Jack? tell us.

Jack: wormbies

John: excuse me?

Dan: wor.... What?

Jack: sorry but am bad at giving names as in really bad. you see, they look like worm, big at the size of a normal car. They have gear teeth, their base is underground and the reason why this place is silent is because they don't like noise most of the animals here either relocate or eaten. If we try to scare them out. We will be on the menu. If we move 5 meters from here we will disappear into the ground.

I held the hair on my head.

John: what the f**k. God.

Dan sit

Dan: am tired of this. What are we going to do. We have no place to stay we are hungry as s**t, we have no weapons to defend and we are as f****d as the world

John: Jack please tell me there is a way. We can't be stuck here. We will die of starvation.

Jack: there is a way. Both parties have two thing in common. NOISE. one hate noise the other like noise.

Dan: Where are you going Jack.

Jack:Well let's give them hell of noise.

John: (I move close to Jack) so what you are trying to say is we should create a noise that will attract the level 3 and the wormbies or what do you call it. Okay I understand So, what do you plan to do with them.

Jack: here is the plan, this two bastard have a fantastic unique hearing ability. So We will shoot.

Dan cuts in

Dan: what, wait wait wait a minute. Shoot? What the hell are we shooting.

John: just listen to him.

Dan: okay am listening. (fold his arm)

John: alright just to be sure am with you Jack, to the end.

Jack: as I was saying. We shoot to the sky, this will alert the two monsters. When they come running the stomping of the level 3 mutant will divert the attention of the wormbies and the rumbling of the ground will attract the lvl3 mutant. When that happen we can make a run for it freely with nothing chasing us.

John: right because the noise they will be making will be so loud it will divert the attention from the sound of the gun shot. Brilliant. I knew you will come up with something.

Dan: I got to admit. I underestimated you. That was amazing I never think of that.

Jack: yeah let get to it. am starving but let's not put our hope high it may not work.

Before we could say anything he brought out a magnum shoot up in the sky. And then a 5 five second silent.

Jack: ready or not. It time to move.

We saw a level 3 stomping his way ahead of us and to our left were the wormbies rumbling up the ground coming fast toward us destroying the beauty of ithe lawn. We stay in a single spot and close our eyes.

Jack : now!!!!

We open our eyes.

We all start to run and to our surprise the wormbies rumbled pass us without even checking. They all focus on the stomping of the level 3 mutant. We did not stop to look we just keep running, at some point we rest a little and pick up again till we reach a stream. We all rush to it drank to our fill. The other side of the stream is another forest. After that we all look back at where we were coming from leaving dan by the stream drinking water.

John: finally I think we have passed their area.

I lay my back down under the shade of the tree to relax.

Jack sat by the river bank catching his breath.

We all rest to grab some air.

Not long we found a little girl coming out of the forest from the other side of the stream walking towards the riverbank and when she saw us she made a run for it.

Dan: Quick. Let follow her.

Jack: Agreed.

John: wait am still rest....... ahh whatever.

We follow the girl into the forest she was right in front of us running as we keep following her I called out wait. Please wait. We just want to talk, but she could not hear me,

we hear a rustling in the area we stop to look back we saw nothing when we face front she is gone, and we've gone deep into the forest.

John: I don't really understand why we have to follow her.

Dan: because she is also going to lead us to the others.

John: others? who are the others. The people we know nothing about? What if they are cannibal.

Dan : hey we don't plan to sleep there we just need to take somethings and walk off.

John: yeah like food, clothe. What if that place is so comfortable. There is no way we would want to leave that place with all what we face on our way here.

Dan: dude come on just shut the f**k up. That why we are call survival. All we need to do is follow that girl to their camp and get what we need after that we will move on.

John: alright I want you to tell me where the hell are we going after we get what we need from them.

Jack: you guys should calm down.

Dan: he started it.

John: No you did. You are not the one to call the shot here. Jack is. And now you lead us to a f*****g dead end.

Jack: I said stop it. What has gone over you two.

We calm down.

John: the f**k. Am sorry what you did really make sense, mhen, didn't know what came over me. I keep imagining lot of good stuff. I just want us to be safe.

Dan: me too bro. What you said make sense. i just don't want to admit. I push us into this.

Jack: don't forget I also agree to it.

John: right.

Dan and I were about to hug it out when we hear gun crack. We were surrounded by some group of men.

@: get on your knees

I think that is their boss

we were about to kneel but by surprise we brought out our hand gun pointing it to all of them. They outnumber us. The gun may be useless against those monsters but not human. then a girl came out saying.

#: They are the ones chasing me.

Wow it's the girl, I didn't know she is so cute.

Dan: oh little girl it's you. We just wanna talk.

@: shut up

#: they are lying immidiately they saw me they all ran after me it's like how you describe them papa. They are cannibals.

John: cann..... Oh oh oh no no no( scuff) look kid the reason why we ran after you was because we think you could help us.

Jack whistle and we all look at him he ask us to put the gun down.

John: Are you sure.

He nod toward up and down.

We drop our weapons

Jack: Any body with cigarettes.

They were starring at each other.

Jack: No? okay Never mind. fellas we are all human here and survival just like you. We have been through s**t from day one and till now we have not rest. As you can see our clothe are torn, we look skinny and we are damn Hungry. when the little girl saw us she ran quickly we first thought it's something she saw then we decide to follow her to where she is going maybe we can be help and as you can see we are not cannibal and if that is possible I will be the only one here. We are really hungry we would like it if you could give us something to eat. That's all.

The man stare at Jack eyes cracking his gun and Jack stare back. Deeply.

The man lower his weapon.

$: my name is Solomon. Fellas get this gentle men something to eat.

The way they welcome us I thought wow this people are really generous. They must be rich in supplies and when we get to the camp. It's... It's... It's.... (Sigh). Average, The walls are made of woods and leaves, clever enough but not strong enough. When we enter. It's like a village there are several low quality building but only one building stay alone which is made of bricks. they neither starve nor do they stay in hunger. Children playing outside. But one thing bother me. The way they live it's as if they are on contract. We saw the way they are struggling to survive.

Dan run up to Solomon.

Dan: sir I think we will just be on our way.

Solomon: why? Don't you like it here.

Dan: no sir, it's just you are all.....

Solomon: struggling to survive yes I know. In fact we barely survived with the little we have but that does not mean we will turn every survival out there to starve while we still have something to give.

John: wow. Thats generous of you.

Jack: hmm.

Jack just keep calm as we walk through out the village, we were taken to a small hut, surprising is was cool and cozy, they served us cooked meal.

John: ahh it's been long since I ate something this rich.

Dan: wow this, this is nice.

Jack: hmm

John: Jack you did not say anything since we got here.

Jack: I know. I just have bad feeling about this place.

After a while.

In the night.

We sat out side, light up some log and form a cycle. Like camp fire. We each tell story scary story but what is more scary than all this we faced.

After some hours

Every one is tired they all went to inside to sleep, I was still out side thinking about all from the beginning to the old man. I remember when the old man use to train me, teaching me kung-fu. I still remember the torture, it was pretty intense. I also remember when the old man died, no one Come to his funeral, he was old and lonely till I joined him. It drift me back to when I was working hard to feed myself with the little amount of money I get.

John: sigh) I've really surffered. When will this end.

I was still in thought, when I hear some rustling in the bush, I trace the sound and it led me to the solomon. He was walking stealthly and I keep following him steathly then he stop, I find a dark area and hide.

Some guys came out they dress like terrorist they had guns in there hand. I can hear the conversation.

#: what do you have for us.

Solomon: yeah there are new guys in the village they are sleeping right now.

@: Are you sure, if we get there and we did not find anyone we will kill all your people and destroy everything.

He knelt down, begging them.

Solomon: please am begging you, I promise they are there please don't take my people away we have been serving you for the past 5 month we won't dare offend you.

#: alright we will invade tomorrow morning and make your people scarce or things will not go well for you.

Solomon: And thank you don't forget your promise.

#: don't you worry, you just need to behave well and we will not fail our promise.

After the discussion, they left,

Solomon tiptoe back to the village. I follow back cause I don't know how to get back. When I get back I wake them up and explain everything to them.

We came up with a plan.
