I woke up with a raging headache. The explosion in the hallway didn’t help.
Wait, explosion? Guardian’s snout, what was going on out there? My skin picked up vibrations that sounded like Luiz muttering to himself. And I smelled a familiar wave of magic, too. Had he found a way to escape?
There was a voice on the other side of my cell door.
“Hey, Calliya. Are you okay?” Bless the Guardian; it was Luiz! I snorted. Never thought I’d be thankful to hear his grating voice.
