Carolyn Maddux is a mostly retired journalist who lives with her husband and their Shetland sheepdog in Shelton near Washington’s Salish Sea. She teaches creative writing at Olympic College Shelton, and enjoys cooking, gardening, and volunteering with Hypatia-in-the-Woods, a small nonprofit providing residencies for women in the arts and academia. She has written two books of nonfiction and two of poetry. This is her first venture into fiction.
