It was also two floors above Roderick’s bed—which Austin had recently shared. Austin climbed the tight Austin had sensed a change in Roderick’s demeanor. At first, she thought the change might be only in her head, her anxiety creating situations that didn’t really exist. He seemed to have eased off the pills and the alcohol, and Austin felt like Roderick now looked at her as if trying to solve a riddle.
