As I walked out of the locker room, I felt I had walked into a fantasy. There stood Miles with a crisp white button-down shirt and dark blue shorts. He looked so handsome. He had a blanket on his left arm and a picnic basket in his right hand. He smiled so broadly as he wrapped his arms around me and told me how beautiful I looked. I was so overwhelmed that all I could think of saying was, "Thank you and so are you!" I felt so silly saying that but he laughed and hugged me more. He twirled me around and told me that I looked, "Scrumptious!!." Miles extended his left arm to me to lead me to his car.
He paraded me across the courtyard to the parking lot. I felt such pride being escorted by such a high-demanded and handsome suitor. I could feel all the girls' eyes as he led me. They were so jealous!! I heard one of them say under their breath, "Seriously, what does he see in her? I am so much more attractive than her!" As I walked past them on Mile's arm.
As we approached his 1969 hot red convertible, he opened the passenger door for me and led me by my hand to the seat. He leaned over and whispered, "You look amazing in my ride." As he said that, I felt the heat and wetness between my legs. I kept thinking, contain yourself, he is just being his flirtatious self. Time will tell!
As he got into the car, his words to me were, "Are you ready for our adventure?" Little did I know the truth behind those words. It was the start of the most passionate adventure I have ever had.
It was a perfect day for a drive. The sun was out and the humidity was low. I felt the sun kiss my cheeks as we drove. My hair whipped around me, framing my face. He went from zero to eighty in two seconds. My heart raced as fast as we were driving. The excitement was such an amazing feeling!!!
As we drove to the lake, Miles grabbed my hand and gave me the biggest smile. When we approached the red light, he gently brought my hand to his lips and kissed my hand. As he did, it melted me. It was the sweetest and most romantic gesture anyone had ever given me. I was so hypnotized by his actions that I didn't see the kiss coming. He gently caressed my face and brought my chin closer to him and gave me the sweetest kiss ever. It was the car honking behind us that snapped me out of the spell that enchanted me. He quickly took his foot off the brake and drove off singing along with the car radio. He squeezed my hand as he drove and sang. I was still under the spell of that kiss, and I couldn't focus on anything.
When we arrived at the lake, Miles raised my hand to his lips and kissed it. The touch of lips against my hand sent chills down my spine. I kept imagining his lips exploring me and I became wet. As he released my hand, he gave a smile that makes anyone weak in the knees.
As Miles exited the car, he smiled and excitedly said to me, "Hey Ava, stay in the car and I will open the door for you. I want this to be a proper date," Did Miles just refer to this as a date?!? I quickly responded, "Why, of course, sir. Chivalry is not dead." Not only was he being a gentleman, but instead of calling me a newbie he called me Ava. The way he said my name sent shivers down my spine.
Miles quickly grabbed the blanket and picnic basket from the back seat and went around to open my door. As he opened the door, he extended his hand to help me get out of the car. He sweetly said, "May I please have the honor, my lady?" I felt like Miles was my prince and I was the luckiest girl in the world.
Miles never released my hand after helping me out of the car. Instead, he held my hand and guided me down the path leading to the lake. It was like the world became brighter and more vivid. All my senses became more alert. The sky became a deeper shade of blue, the sun felt warmer against my skin, the scent of the flowers were sweeter and all was right in the world. I was truly not prepared for what was ahead of me.
As we walked hand in hand on the path leading to the lake, Miles walked us to a small rowboat at the edge of the lake. He was so excited when he told me, "I brought my rowboat earlier, so we could be in the middle of the lake during the sunset". He gleamed with such excitement as he said, "You're going to have the most speculative view from the lake. The sunset is going to reflect upon the water and be magical." Miles quickly put everything down. As he hustled to get things in place, he said to me, "Help me Ava to get everything situated. You're going to thank me later when you see how amazing the sunset is from this spot." Miles rowed us to the perfect spot to see the sunset in its full glory.
