32. Summoned
JACE’S POV I stood dumbfounded, watching as Esnie vanished into thin air with Nyx and Erebus. My shoulders dropped as sudden silence swept across the room, immersing me in its depth. I was alone yet again, my mate was gone. To where? I do not know. But one thing‘s for sure: I miss her already. *** Three days had passed since then; three days of me hoping she isn’t gone forever. I had been keeping myself busy with work; putting things in order, and overlooking the pack’s businesses. But at night when I return to my room, I remember how lonely it is without her. I had also taken the time to explain what happened between Kaiah and me to pack members, to make them understand why ‘I’ may have been acting differently in the last month.
