My supposed groom ordered the guards to lead the carriage to my residence.
The carriage halted after a long time and Winter help me come down.The place was spacious but looked deserted.
The building looked abandoned....the guards left quickly.
"Let's go inside"I said.
"Your highness but.........
I walked away and went to open the entrance door.Everywhere was dark,l was so frightened.
"Hold on princess while l search for a candle "
"Get out"we heard a cold loud voice.
"No,she's staying with me"I held Winters hand tightly.
A spark came from nowhere and all the bulbs was on.The fan began to roll but we didn't see anyone.
The sitting room was dirty, cobwebs everywhere...it was so irritating.
"Don't scare the princess"Winter stood in front of me.
"I hate noise"We heard the voice again and the door opened.A strong wind blew inside the room and the door closed.
Winter was no longer inside,she had gone.
"Where did you take her to,?"
"Somewhere she belong to.if you care about her you can leave too"
"Show your face"
"You want to see my face,are you sure about that?"
Suddenly a strange creature appeared in front of her with fangs out....looking blood thirsty.
Selena screamed and ran to the door but it was firmly locked.
"Kill me....end my life "
He threw a knife at me and spoke"Kill yourself"
she took the knife but it disappeared from her hands.
"Only me and nobody else has the right to take your miserable life.Without my permission you cannot die"he spoke and walked into the inner room.
I continued crying because it was of no use .
As soon as l opened my eyes,l heard the cockcrow from a distance.l lay still listening for movements so l could know if l was alone in the room but l heard nothing.l was lying on the bed obviously l didn't come here myself.
l tiptoed to the door ready.
"Leaving already?"that cold voice asked,he leaned on the doorpost in front of me.
My heart raced in fear as l looked at him He looked half human and half beast unlike last night he was a monster.
His face l could only see his eyes and lips but the rest part of his face looked burned and broken.it was so irritating.
"l was not leaving l wanted to go look for my maid"
"Lies"
"it's the truth"
He walked closer and l took few steps backwards "You can't lie to me Selena.l can see through your lies.you wat to escape right?'
"How do you know my name?"l was confused.
"Let's talk "he walked past me.He motioned for me to sit on the bed and l did.Did he want me to play wifely duties this morning which l wasn't prepared for.
"Anyway......Am Carmen"he sounded calm.
I was scared of him.
"I know you hate me right now and l hate you too..........you are so miserable and useless that's why your kingdom gave you to us"
"You are useless to me and so am offering you this return to your kingdom before l harm you"
"Wait,you mean l should go back to my kingdom?"l asked him and he nodded"No,l cannot go back there
....my father hates me"
"Your family issues is not my business.if you stay here with me You would regret it"
"I am not afraid if death"l answered boldly"I have accepted my fate"
"Really, are you sure about that?"
"I have made up my mind.l am staying "
"How considerate of you.Then from now on,you are my mate "
"Give me your hand "
"Why?"l frowned.
He took my hand forcefully,he used his index finger to draw a line in my palm and blood came out.He pulled his masked face closer and sucked the blood hungrily.His eyes turned blue,his lip black and his fangs out.
"What did you do?"
"you just made a convenant with me.Now you cannot leave....you are going to experience hell with me"
He left the room.
Minutes later Winter walked in.
"My princess are you okay?"
I shook my head.
"Come on you need to change your clothes first.let me prepare warm water for you so you can have your bathe"
I took my bath and dressed up that wearing my favourite long yellow gown and a hairband to match.The outfit was a gift from the head cook in my father's kingdom .
I stood up and walked outside.His residence was dirty and boring.
I was tired and felt sleepy.
"Let's take a stroll"I said to Winter.
we walked to the back of the main building,there was another building but was quite smaller.
"Look,it's a garden"Winter pointed and l turned to look and there was a very beautiful garden.
it's so beautiful.
in the center was a pavilion surrounded by colorful flowers and a small pool beside it.
And there was a bench and there was a beautiful girl gently massaging a huge figure body.
"Who is that lady?"Winter asked me.
"I don't know"
I was curious and determined to know the connection between the both of them.
"Let's find out"
"Gently Princess"
I looked carefully,it was my supposed groom .To be candid l disliked the girl immediately.
"Who is there?"he growled suddenly.
"Hide"I whispered to Winter.
After a while,l raised my hand but saw nobody.l heaved a deep sigh of relief.
"That was close"I giggled mischievously "But wait where did he go?"
"Searching for me?"a male voice spoke behind me making my heart beat increase.
I turned to face him"Nope...l mean...not really"I stuttered.
"Then what are you doing here?"his voice was piercing and his eyes darker.
"You are restricted from coming here"
"I.......
"Be quiet...leave now"he shouted at me.
The girl interrupted"My Lord,she is still now and doesn't know her way around here please pardon her"
He looked at me sternly before leaving closely followed by the girl.
"Who is she?"She sounded bold"Winter asked me.
"I don't know but we can find out.lets go"
"But he's a freak"
I laughed.
