Tom jumped into the conversation. “Claire and I are both highly s****l individuals, as you know by now,” he said smiling a smile almost as engaging as Paul’s. Kat could see what Paul saw in him. “And we operate every day in a highly charged s****l environment. Even in those times when Master is visiting almost monthly—which isn’t very often—he’s never here for more than a week. What are we supposed to do the other three weeks? So he gives us a blanket permission to be with each other when he’s not here.”
