"Are you sure you are well rested enough to train?" I inquired as I wearily eyed Scarlett's petite frame a few feet away from me.
Immediately the words left my lips, and I immediately regretted them. What was wrong with me? Why did I care if she was alright and strong enough to train? If she wished to train then I would train her and push her to her limits, it wasn't my business.
As these thoughts racked through my mind Jax was adamant within me, wanting to go to her. He longed to wrap her within his protective hands and order her to rest until he was sure she was fully healed.
"Yeah, I'm perfectly alright now," Scarlett replied, dragging me out of my thoughts and my gaze focused on her once more.
