I slammed my office door shut behind me as I placed my hands on my waist and paced. How could I have been so insensitive and inconsiderate?
I had always found it peculiar that I had never seen Scarlett's wolf since she joined this pack, but I convinced myself it was for the best, since she was a rogue and could go out of control at any time.
Little did I know she had been deprived of one of the greatest pleasures of being a wolf. I meant it when I had said I couldn't imagine my life without my wolf. My thought process was merged with Jax's and we made decisions together...well mostly.
