I was still in a daze as I sat in the bathtub, allowing the warm water to soothe my aching muscles.
"I don't know what I'll do to make you forgive me," Nora muttered as she stared at a bruise on my shoulder from the guards’ manhandling.
"It wasn't your fault Nora, there's nothing to forgive," I muttered and I meant it, at this moment I was just grateful to still be alive. A small part of me didn't believe I was still here, what would have happened if the seer had arrived just a few seconds later than he did?
