"You did what?" I stared at Nora with wide eyes.
"I didn't word it like that," she shrugged and I squinted at her.
"Then what did you tell Alpha Silas Nora?" I inquired as I shut the book I had been reading.
"I just wanted to know where his heart was," she informed me.
"That doesn't answer my question," I probbed and she sighed.
"I just asked him why his attitude towards you changed," she informed me and I stared at her skeptically.
"That was all?" I pushed.
"Yes, that was all." She affirmed as she held her hands up in surrender. I nodded once when I was sure she was telling the truth and turned back to my book.
"Aren't you going to ask me what his response was?" Nora called out to me and I dropped my book once more.
