Scarlett's pov
My hands shook as I stared at the piece of paper in my hand. My heart hammered against my ribcage and my chest rose and fell rapidly as my breathing quickened.
'I told you to stay out of my business Scarlett but you just don't get it do you? Her blood is on your hands, Scarlett.' The note read and tears pricked my eyes as fear crawled within me.
I rushed towards my door and ripped it open just as Nora was about to knock.
"Hey, are you alright?" She asked as she took in my mood but I didn't bother answering. I brushed past her as I made my way downstairs and looked around and she called after me as she followed closely behind.
