"What?" I asked as I stared at Asher with wide eyes.
"I found my mate," he repeated as though I hadn't heard him the first time and instant relief flooded my mind. This meant he would give up on his silly pursuit of making Scarlett his mate.
"Was she among the guests last night?" I inquired, and he nodded. I could see he was trying his hardest to keep his grin at bay, but he failed miserably.
"Yeah, our meeting was a funny story." He muttered as he scratched the back of his neck just as Nora stepped into my office.
"Please don't say it one more time or I think I'll have to get my eyes clogged." Nora sighed as she plumped down beside him.
"He wouldn't let me hear of anything else all morning." She informed me as she shot Asher a glare.
