Later that night the celebration came to an end guests from faraway retired to their assigned rooms, while nearby guest travelled back home to return the next day as the celebration would go on for three days.
Julianne stepped out of her room holding an empty jar, the guests including her family had retired to her room leaving the corridor desserted and quiet, only the rustling of leaves near the windows could be heard. Julianne went into the kitchen to fill her jaw of water as the maids had forgotten to fill it, walking back to her room through the corridor she found one of the windows open, she hadn't noticed it when she past here earlier, keeping her jar of water and lantern on the window plane, she moved to close the window when she saw a bird sleeping beautifully on the branch of a tree close to the window, she raised her eyes to look at the sky which was clear, the moon was out, Round, full and glowing in it's glory.
"I didn't know one of your talents was to patrol like a gaurd at nights and closing the windows the maids had forgotten to close, considering you're good at gardening, who knows how many talents you possess"
She turned around to find her garden trespasser leaning on the wall close to the window staring at her.
"How long have you been here?
"A couple of minutes after you came here" he replied nonchalantly.
"Are you stalking me" Julianne asked with a from.
" That wouldn't be me If I didn't, I was just out here for fresh air when I noticed a shadow in the corridors and I couldn't help but be curious"
"Haven't you heard 'curiousity kills the cat" she stated
"Well thank to the pure and innocent soul am still alive" standing straight he came to stand a step away from her. "I couldn't sleep Julianne" he said in a low voice only meant for her.
"And why do you tell me this" she asked her voice nearing a whisper.
"Because you are the cause of it" he said looking into her eyes for any reaction but all he saw was confusion.
"We shouldn't be here people would see us and the would talk I have had enough for today" she said turning around to pick her jar of water and lantern when she felt her hand being pulled before her back hit the cold wall.
"You didn't reply to my words earlier" said the prince as his two hands rested beside her head.
Julianne heart raced in her heart her eyes looking here and there for any prying eyes of people who would catch them.
"I thought you where afraid of matchmaking" she said finally finding her voice.
"I wouldn't be afraid to be paired towards you, for it's a blessing to me" seeing how her eyes would move to the corridors every now and then he smiled. " Are you afraid of being caught with a stranger in the dark and lonely corridors at night and in ordinary night wears".
He saw blood rush to her cheeks and ears as she turned red from embarrassment "Please let me go, we still have alot of time to spend tomorrow and the next"
He stared at her for a very long time , his hand moved to her face tucking her baby hairs behind her ears before he stepped away from her "You should honor your word by spending the remaining days around me or else you don't mind a company at night do you"
Without saying another word Julianne hurried away from the corridor, getting to her room she locked the door, keeping the jar of water and blowing off the lantern she went back to lay on her bed but sleep was far from coming. Remembering his last words before he let her leave blood drained from her face, ' I wouldn't possibly be spending the remaining two days with him would I, who are you, what is your status for you to be this audacious, aghh please leave me alone' she yell in her head.
Crown prince Roman stood there until he was sure she had reached her room he imagine her expression when she would find out about his identity and he smile broadened, he closed the window before walking back to his own room.
