Secrets

Chapter one

Tiana and I have this bond, she knows what I'm thinking, but I don't know what she's thinking, she knows my feelings, but I don't know hers. She can even go into my head, like literally whenever I'm way to upset; her whole body goes into my mind. I hate it but I know that she doesn't mean to.

Once we're on the train and ready to go, I read the first note repeatedly. Can she or he be watching me right now? Technically I'm not running away, I'm going where he or she sent me. The town seems familiar to me somehow, I just can't place where; anyway, I better stop thinking about it, I don't want Tiana to know the real reason why we are going to this place, she is already suspicious enough; I don't want her even more and turn us around. I end up reading a book about vampires, it is called the vampire diaries. It's good, I've watched every season of it. After a while I start to drift off, but don't get far because I'm jolted awake by Tiana yelling.

"Rose, Rose, wake up it's just a dream, wake up.... It's alright you're okay".

I know what she's talking about, the other night with jewellery box, I just can't seem to stop dreaming about it and as I look into Tiana's eyes; I can see that she knows the real reason as to why I'm here or well actually going to dark falls, but she doesn't say anything.

We get to dark falls at 2:12 m, it's already getting bright. It's weird to think that there could be so many supernatural and natural secrets to be uncovered. It looks like a sweet little town, but I know the truth, where there are secrets; there is always trouble. Tiana stares at me funny and then bursts out laughing.

"what are you laughing about"?

Tiana just keeps laughing until she calms down a bit and says.

"where there are secrets, there is always trouble".

I stare at her, not knowing what to say, she knows I hate it when she dives into my head.

"it should be where there is sweet, there are always supernatural beings".

Yup that is exactly what I said, just without the supernatural bit. See why I don't like her poking around in my head, it is very disturbing. We get off the train and call a taxi to our new house, it looked nice in the pictures. The house is massive, it's got five bedrooms, one big lounge room and a huge kitchen. There are two master bedrooms, Dimitri and I get one each. Tiana gets the third biggest room. We get all our stuff inside and start unpacking the important stuff, like spell books, potions and cutlery, all that jazz. Tiana is the first one unpacked because she didn't bring as much as me and Dimitri, she starts to help us unpack. It's easy for us because our bedrooms are close together, as of hers; hers is right down the hall.

I start putting away all the books and potions in the next room. Once it's all done, we go into the kitchen to cook some pancakes. My favourite food, it was the first thing I ever learnt to cook. After we have all eaten, we go check out the high school. Tiana is also in our grade, we have been going to all different witch academies since I was little and this is the first year out of it, so we have proper school and freedom for the next two years. I'm just hoping that Dimitri can control his temper and not set stuff on fire.

School starts tomorrow, so I'm up and about getting my things out and ready. I go into Dimitris room, he has also gotten his stuff ready; but it's not the school clothes that is making me worried, it's the look he's giving me. It's the look that could put molten lava to shame. I start to walk out but he stops me.

"I know why we've come to this place and it's not because you want to go to school here. It's because of the notes you have been getting lately, and I think the other part is because mum and dad grew up here and you want to be closer to them".

He gives me the concerned brother look; he knows that I hate it when he does it. I don't entirely think he realises when he is doing it.

Once I'm back in my room and am in bed, I wait patiently for sleep to come but it never does, partly because I'm excited about tomorrow and the other part is that I am scared about what I'm going to find here, about whatever is lurking in the dark and about solving who sent me here, but my bigger question is; who is E?

My alarm clock goes off at 6:30, I get up but it's still dark out; I try and make sure that I don't wake up Tiana and Dimitri, especially Tiana because even though she is asleep; doesn't mean she can't go into my head.

Once we are at school and in our classes, I start to do my work when peoples voices start to fill my head; I can't think properly so I put up my hand and ask for the toilet.

While coming out of the toilet, I run into this tall dark haired, brown eyed guy. All of him screams dangerous. I decide to keep an eye on him. By the time I return to class its almost recess and as soon as the bell goes, I am the first one to leave. The voices are still in my head, although I know the voices aren't mine; they still feel like it and it hurts.

I am keeping my eye on the guy I ran into earlier, even though my head feels like it's splitting into two and the funny thing is that he seems to be watching me as well. He looks over at me and I look at Tiana and ask her about the classes she had today. We get halfway through the conversation when the guy walks up to us with half a smirk on his face, he holds out his hand and says.

"Hi, I'm Tamani Cloud, welcome to dark falls high school".
