He thought he could save her. Unfortunately, he just has to be almost unfortunate in everything he does. "Please don't let me go. Please hold me tight. If Sam gets me back to him, I'm dead." She cried and his heart ached. He started thinking of ways to fight off each and every one of them there so he could successfully get her to safety.
"Young master Marcus Lehman, your attention is deeply needed in the Lehman mansion." One of the men spat.
Young Master?
Marcus chuckled.
"I'm not a young master. Please don't trigger me." He replied "I know you're here for her. But you'd never get her. Please leave!" He spat, but worried Mia started pinching him, hoping that he'd stop. "What are you doing?" He lowered his voice to ask her.
"They just called you young master..."
"We are sorry we came this way, Young Master, but your Father needs you now. He asked that you follow us back to your home." Another said
"Who is my Father? I never had one while growing up." He spat and was going to get up to leave with Mia when she stopped him.
"They look harmless. Why don't we follow them? Let's go dear..." She urged him and after a deep thought, he decided to.
If they were harmless, then he wouldn't mind a roof over his head until he could stand back on his feet.
With an alert heart, he got into one of the cars with Mia, and they drove to the top of the city.
Marcus was in awe as he had the chance to gaze at the highest part of Bloodstone and felt so elated at the night view in front of him
Mia smiled seeing his reaction.

At the other end of the City was Sam Rock, standing in the center of his living room, his face twisted in anger, causing the entire atmosphere to be tense. He stared at the six men he had sent to chase after Mia in disappointment. "What are you trying to say? That a tiny little b***h outsmarted the six of you? How lowly." He growled and threw a punch at each of their faces. "You deserve death!" He spat and immediately brought out a long and sharp blade.
They all bowed down. "I'm sorry master. I promise we will find her. Please don't do this." They started begging as he stood over them with his intimidating aura overshadowing them.

Marcus found himself at the front of his father's mansion and was at a loss for words. He had heard of Scott Lehman, the richest man in the City, but never thought that he could ever be his father. He didn't know what to say and kept silent until he was able to stand in front of his father. Scott stared at him as though he were some supernatural being, as his eyes became misty while he tried to control his emotions. Mia intentionally gave them space and walked out. "Follow me!" Scott whispered to his son as he then walked out of the sitting room. Marcus had thousands of questions for this man claiming to be his father and could only silently hope for the grace to not lose it in front of him. It was still late at night yet it felt like day inside the mansion.
Scott stopped at the mighty terrace and only then could he turn to look into Marcus' eyes. "It's been good years since I saw you. I already gave up thinking you died while growing up." Scott said in a thick whisper.
"I thought I had no father either. I thought I was alone in my world." Marcus responded. He got the chance to stare at the night sky and couldn't help but chuckle bitterly. "If you think I was dead, how did you find me? Why tonight when I felt like I was going to die?"
"I was only able to start tracking you after you unlocked that," Scott said, pointing to the pendant on Marcus's neck. Marcus subconsciously covered it with his palm. "You don't have to protect it. It had always been a gift from me anyway."
Marcus froze.
"What are you talking about? My mother gave me this. This was all I could get from my mother while growing up, and now that she's nowhere around me, this is all I can hold on to, to keep her memories alive and in my head." He spat and Scott chuckled.
His son must have a good heart to still cherish a woman like his mother.
"I swore to kill her and myself if she didn't make you grow up while wearing that pendant. I'm glad she at least had an ear on her." Scott said and walked closer to him. He placed his hands on his shoulders for the first time and felt his son's muscles. "You are so grown now. I knew you would be this handsome if you were still alive. I have been wallowing in disappointment, thinking I would die a lonely death, but here you are. You unlocked this pendant at the most crucial time and only then could I ever track you." He said and opened the thick sweater he had on his body, revealing the pendant that was on his neck and it shone. The moment it shone, the pendant around Marcus' neck shone brightly too and felt hot.
They stared at the connection and Marcus was astonished. "You are really my father!" He confirmed with a deep and grateful smile.
"Yes, I am, son!" Scott replied emotionally. "I'm sorry it took so long. I guess I should have briefed your mother so she could get you to unlock our connections faster but if I had, she would make it impossible to find you. I'm sure she still hates me wherever she is." He said to Marcus and looked at the floor. "To make it up to you, please tell me one thing you'd like to have first from me and I will get it done asap."
Marcus frowned as he stared at the dark sky, wondering what he should say, and after a thought, he smiled. "Levin Hospital!" He muttered and his father looked up at him, surprised that he got Marcus to speak faster.
"Levin Hospital is number one in Bloodstone. Do you really want it?" He questioned and Marcus nodded. "Consider it yours son!" Scott spat.
Scott had his staff take Marcus to the second master bedroom he had prepared for him in the mansion before retiring to bed. "How was it?" Mia asked him in the hallway.
He had turned back to find her following him like his child. "It went well. Please be comfortable."
"I will as long as you are around." She said to him and he turned to see her features. Only now, under the bright lights of the mansion, could he picture her beautiful green eyes like his and her long and curly green hair. He couldn't do that earlier in the dark. She had these really beautiful facial features. It was no wonder the so-called Sam Rock seemed obsessed. "I will be sleeping in your room tonight." She said to him and he paused in his step to look at her.
"I don't think that will be fair to you." He said to her while another maid approached them. "Hello, Miss Mia, Master Scott just asked that I take you to your room." The maid said to her and Mia rolled her eyes.
"I will see you in the morning," Marcus told her and walked straight into his room.
Mia took a deep breath and followed the maid.
The night seemed long and when Marcus woke up the next morning, his eyes were greeted by the news that was playing on the television in his room. He took the television control and increased the volume so he could hear the newscaster.
"The almighty Levin Hospital, number one is the city was bought overnight by the richest man in the city, Scott Lehman. Guess who he bought it for?" The female newscaster spoke out loud as she turned to stare at her fellow newscaster. "It's rumoured to be for his son. The one we have never heard of. Could that be over a phone call though?" He said with a smile.
"I think the city finds it strange. It's said that he is going to show up today." The man on television said out loud.
Marcus froze.
His father already bought the hospital?
He rushed to his bathroom and had the most peaceful shower he'd ever had, and picked out one of the suits he found already arranged in his wardrobe.
Stepping out, he found Mia looking good as she walked towards him. "Good morning." She greeted him and he smiled. Her eyes searched his body, and he unbuttoned his shirt so she could have a view of the pendant. Seeing as he could read her mind, she laughed.
"I have to go now. There's something I would like to tell you when I return." He told her and her eyes widened.

At the front of Levin Hospital, reporters flooded. They were waiting on the new owner of the hospital to grace with countless questions. Inside was no less, all the interns and higher-ups were curious as to who had so much power to buy the number one Hospital in the city. "Dad, how can you say you have no idea when this hospital was bought? Heck, you don't even know who this son is." Jude said to his father as he paced around his office. His long-time dream of being able to rule this hospital someday was shattered. He thought as he tried to cover the bandages that were still on his body.
"The new President has just arrived." A general announcement was made, and everyone started to panic while trying to behave. They all rushed out of the building to welcome him.
Marcus' convey bypassed the entire reporters and made their way into the hospital garage. The door to one of the Rolls-Royces opened, and Marcus stepped out, revealing his face.
Everyone froze.
