******Flashback Before the party******

POV: Dayton 

I woke up from the best nap, realizing I had my mate's sweater covering my face. I couldn’t help but laugh at myself, I fished out her bracelet from my pocket and thought about how funny it was that I missed her twice and we were on the other side of the world. Now I am on my way to an unknown part of America just to bring her back with me. 

This is crazy, but I need her, even if she may not need me now she will soon. I had so many thoughts running through my head and landed on one, her backstory. She had died a few years back and was alive now? I am extremely thankful, but how? We have so much to discuss, but all I know is when I see her I just want to spend time with her get to know her, when we get back then we can talk about the packs. I wonder what she looks like? Anyway, are we there yet? 

I get up and walk to the main seating area, and my aunt says,” hey sleep bug. We are an hour to land then a 2-hour drive.” 

“They offered us an empty House for our stay, but I only imagine that you might wanna stay with your mate.” My aunt said. I couldn’t help but notice my uncle beside her who winked at me, which made me bust out laughing. 

I would on a normal note be grossed out by what he is suggesting but I just can’t wait to see her. Just a few hours my little mate….

I was lost in thought when an attendant put down a huge plate of food in front of me. This made me think, I haven’t eaten in days. Man, mates sure do have a weird effect on you. I couldn’t help my self I dug in as my life depended on it. 

My uncle gave me a knowing look, and then took my aunt by the hand and squeezed. I remembered back to when she was taken, he didn’t eat for 3 weeks. He lost so much weight. I am happy to see them thriving even though they never truly had kids of their own. Every kid they took care of, they treated like they were their kid. They also treated me and my brother like we were their sons. My little brother died in an attack a few years ago, so did my parents. 

I miss them every day. When I found out that my mate was near I had my parents' old room, cleaned and ready for my mate and me. It makes me feel closer to them. There is a new bed and everything but I left my moms old, Luna acceptance dress and a few accessories I would like my mate to have. I have my parent's old wedding bands and engagement rings, I would like to give them to my mate someday. I know, that it may seem too quick to most but I have been waiting for her for seven years. 

I noticed we were about to land and I couldn’t help but smile. This was the longest plane ride and drive of my life, we got to the entrance of the pack and were welcomed in with well-equipped guards, they were a force to take on, which makes me happy to know my mate was well guarded. I don’t know this alpha and Luna, but knowing that their guards are well trained gives me respect for them. 

One guard was assigned to show us to the house then the party, we arrived at 7:30. We went to the house and cleaned up. I was nervous about the whole situation and Nicholi was sitting there laughing at me the whole time. What he probably doesn’t realize is I could kick him from here to home. But I am just too focused on getting to my mate.

We got to the party about 9:00, I was walking around to see if I can find my mate, I found myself at a table filled with pictures of The future alpha of this pack and an extremely beautiful girl. By the time I realize that this girl is my mate. I smelled the most mouth-watering smell, and it’s coming from inside. People started making their way to this stage and I got stuck in the back. 

I see, who must be Alpha James and Luna Grace, her parents. They go on with a speech, that’s when I notice her…. My mate. It’s like the stars just lined up and my heart is beating, I didn’t notice I was frozen until Nicholi snapped me out of it, he said, “ do you smell that?” 

I had no idea what he was talking about and turned my attention to her brother Who found his mate, some blonde girl. They look made for each other. Now it’s my mate's turn, she makes her way down and her wolf howls letting me know she can feel me. But she doesn’t see me, Nicholi nudges me forward and I make my way through the crowd. I grab her arm as she turns to make her way back to the stage.

 It was like my world stopped when she turned to looked at me, The angel has the most beautiful white eyes and a smile that can light up a pitch dark forest. She can bring any man to his knees with just the snap of her fingers. As I slide my hand down her arm to her hands I feel our sparks dance with each other and that’s how I know it’s true, she is the one made for me, she is all mine, my heart, and soul, my future, the one who can erase the pain from my past. The one who can make me whole again. 

I kiss her cheek, and move to whisper in her ear, “ I finally found you. I won’t let you go I promise.” 

She is giving me a megawatt smile, this makes my whole body feel warm knowing she is happy to find me as much as I am to finally find her. We walk to the stage and I give her dad a handshake, he is giving a lot of power into it and I give back, even more, to let him know I am just as strong and can protect Adeline. I announce my name and title to him, he and Grace who has been crying give me a look of approval and pride. 

I look over at Adeline and lead her to stand beside her brother and his mate, which I learn her name is Kami. Her father Finishes with, “ Both Have chosen their mates tonight and we are more than happy to see our family grow tonight. Future Alpha Oliver Aaron Collins and his Mate Kamille Anne Daughtry. And then last but not least Our Daughter Future Luna Adeline Marie Collins with Alpha Dayton Alexander Romano. 

Everyone cheered and Howled in approval. I see my aunt crying hugging my uncle, my heart swelled with happiness knowing how much they love me and are happy to see me finally find my mate after so long. Everyone turned their attention to dancing and food, I turned mine to my mate. I caught her looking at me and she turned red as a tomato. I grab her chin and make her look at me, I kiss her nose which caught her by surprise, and she giggles, which makes me have butterflies… what is this girl doing to me.

 Her father and mother walk towards us and welcomes me into the family. Her brother and his mate walk to us and we shake hands while they two hugs. They get into a conversation about how my mate knew they were mates, and Kami’s face went pink and they both started laughing, her laugh is like cute little bells going off that I can hear all day. 

I turn my attention to her brother, he says, “ Be good to my sister, I won’t hesitate to get on a plane and kick your ass.” We both laugh together and I look at my mate who shoots him a nasty look which makes us laugh harder. 

We say our goodbyes and I am left with my mate. “ would you like to dance?” She replies with a smile and a “yes.” My heart speeds up at her voice. That is the first thing she has said to me.

We dance for a while in comfortable silence, getting a feel for one another, Nicholi walks up to meet his future Luna, he bows and shakes her hand, which I want to chop off but resist. They have a short conversation until a short blonde-haired and brown-eyed girl walks up, and she starts to say something to my mate when she and Nicholi lock eyes. He growls out the word “mate.” 

Then slowly they walk to each other and look into each other’s eyes. Their wolf finally got back and they can get a feel for one another. Nicholi puts his forehead on hers and says something, that we can’t hear. 

My mate starts bouncing in happiness beside my I give her a confused look when she says,“ My Best friend's name is Vicki or Vic, it looks like you will be coming with me to Italy Vic!” Both girls squeal and give hugs to one another. Nicholi and I look at each other wondering what we have gotten ourselves into.
