******Before Finding Our mates******

After leaving Adeline's room, I found her brother and wished him a happy birthday. After giving him a hug I went downstairs and went into the kitchen, I wanted to be on top of the surprise we had for Adeline and Oliver. Their parents, Oliver’’s Friend/ My brother Jamie, and I went to a dealership and picked them out both cars. They both ended up with Matte Dodge Chargers SRT H*ll cats...

I’m jealous, to be honest. Adelines is Matte Baby Blue and Olivers Is a Dark Matte Blue. They are spoiled, just saying. My Dad is The beta in this pack so I naturally have beta blood in me so I’m on top of it. They both already have 2 cars, they don’t need another, but being honest with you this car is the cheapest one they have or will have.

I may have stolen a cupcake while helping in the kitchen but I wouldn’t tell anyone that. The whole pack is everywhere about 50% may be more brought them gifts, and we have like 5,000 pack members, not including the packs that were invited so needless to say everyone is working overtime. They started preparing everything two weeks in advance.

It’s about 9 and I’m getting antsy, I want everything to go perfect. I am what you would call a perfectionist, even when I am training, if I see a younger wolf training in the wrong stance I will stop what I am doing and make them do what they are doing until they get it right.

Luna Grace walks around the corner and sees me, she makes me stop and tells me to calm down. “ Vic you overwork yourself, stop it, and relax everything is already in full swing, it’s out of our hands.”

Before I could say anything. Alpha Eric and Hazel walk around the corner, we all say our hellos, and then Hazel gets serious and asks to speak to us in private. I notice Eric's face go dark and a tall man, walks in behind him, a Good looking man. He is Wearing a Black suit that fit him perfectly, he had short neat brown hair and green eyes. I felt the power from him it lets me know he is an alpha.  

Grace led us all to her office and we waited for my mom to come in, my mom is Grace's Beta Female. It was silent for a minute until Hazel opened the conversation. “So When you messaged me about Adelines Sweater, I found it and laid it on the table in our cabin in the back of the plain. She stopped and looked at The unknown alpha in the room. 

Grace said,” Did something happen to it? If so there will be plenty of more it’s not a loss.” She looked at them curiously. I was curious too about this secret meeting. 

“Oh Dear, no it’s perfectly fine. You see Our Nephew here, is Alpha Dayton.” He walked up to Grace and shook her hand, saying, “Nice to meet you.” After that, he resumed walking back to his spot.

Hazel continues to say,” well he went in the back to lay down, he was back there for 5 minutes, and then runs back up front where we are seated with the sweater in hand saying it belongs to his Mate.” Hazel looks at Grace with Excitement. 

Grace jumps up and squeals in excitement, it took me a moment to realize why she is so happy, the man before we are Adeline's mate. Grace walks to him and hugs him and welcomes him to the family. He is beaming with happiness. But I felt a ping of pain in my heart, my best friend is leaving me, she will be in Italy and I will be here, waiting. I am truly happy for her I just don’t know how I will live without her. I know I am being selfish, I wish her mate was an alpha from around here. 

They all finally end the conversation we have 10 minutes until they come down. We leave the room and I make my way back to the kitchen to check on the cakes. Grace walks in behind me and as she was about to say something one of the Omegas Knock a huge try of 100 small finger sandwiches off the table, as I was about to lose my temper with them, Grace excuses me and I leave.

I walked around to the stairwell where they will be coming from and I see Kami. We start a conversation about each other’s dresses and that’s when they start descending. Adeline doesn’t look like her, she looks like a Fully Grown Woman, a Luna should I say. Her walk holds so much power to it, and Oliver looking handsome as ever. They both look amazing and those two look more twin than ever.

Although their hair and eyes are different you can tell they are twins. Oliver looks over at Kami and Gives her a wink. She turns red as a tomato. I think Adeline was correct about them being mates, I mean if they aren’t, it’s a mean joke on us all. Adeline makes her way over to us and hugs me, I want to beg her, to stay but she would have no clue as to what I am talking about, and I can’t tell her I know who her mate is. I even think The three alphas sneaked around the front of the entrance to make it look like they just got there. 

Anyway, it’s time we all walk outside and as the ceremony was happening I smelled the most intoxicating smell it was like fresh baked cookies and chocolate. I looked around I couldn’t see who or what it belongs to. Honestly, I might be hungry so I Ignore it. 

I wanted to roll over laughing when I saw Oliver and Kami were mates, they have been flirting for the past year, well from a Far, no conversations just looks and winks. Which I honestly thought would make Kami have a heart attack one day. Could you imagine one wink and BAM in the hospital for a month? Hehe, I am funny, I love myself sometimes.

Anyway, I notice Adeline looking confused as she nears the end of the line of unmated males, then as she turns around Alpha Dreamy is grabbing her arm. I must admit as much as I hate him for taking my sister from me, they look amazing together, truly made for each other. They both look happy. I can only dream of finding my mate. I haven’t thought about looking tonight, if he is here then fate will make us meet. I promised no more search and hoping to see and feel the pull every time I look at someone. Yes, I said someone, I am into girls too. They are hot. Deal with it. 

So it’s time the Mates Dance starts and I walk to the table and grab a cookie, honestly doesn’t smell as good as the ones, I thought I smelled. Jamie, my brother walks over and takes it from me. I bit his hand for grabbing my cookie. So I take a cupcake while he was looking at his bleeding hand and shoved it in his face. “since you are so hungry have a cupcake while you at it.” 

Okay, you might be thinking I am an Angry psycho wolf. No, I’m chill, I am…. I am just on edge today for some reason and not finding my mate when I turned 18 is starting to affect me a bit, I’m having more mood swings than usual. I got to tell you, my brother is an a** and a bully to everyone. He is supposed to be the future beta of this pack and he is an angry psycho. He rejected his mate, I have a feeling that he wanted to try his hand with Adeline, but I let him know it was never gonna happen.

I walk away annoyed, but my mood lightens when the dance is over, I walk to Adeline ready to hug her and congratulate her, then I smell it. And I look beside the alpha, a man a few inches shorter than him, He has long black hair, but is pulled into a neat tiny bun, the sides are neatly shaved, his beard is neat and clean-cut short. Not only that he has black ear piercings, but he also has beautiful chocolate eyes that match his scent of fresh cookies. He is wearing a white suit with a black shirt underneath, it wasn’t a button-up it was a regular black tee, casual and hot. The shirt clings to his body. His jaw could cut someone, his lips look so inviting.

My wolf finally got my attention when she screamed, “MATE!” I was taken aback I’ve never seen him before. 

Until, Adeline started jumping in excitement and said,” My Best friend's name is Vicki or Vic, it looks like you will be coming with me to Italy Vic!” That’s when the pieces clicked, he comes here with Adeline's mate. She and I squealed a bit and I walked off, I heard a heart-clenching growl from behind me that made me giggle.

I made it to the back garden that was clear from people, I felt his eyes on me and I sat down. I turned to see him looking at me with a loving look on his face, I patted next to him and he sat next to me shoulder to shoulder. I finally looked at him and said, “ please tell me this is true and not a dream. I’ve waited for a while and I don’t want this feeling to be taken away from me.” 

I didn’t know I was crying until he picked me up and put me in his lap. He put his hand on my face and brought it close to his, he kissed my tears away and finally spoke, “It’s True Mi Amor. Now that I have you, your mine and only mine. You can’t escape me now” 

I couldn’t help but laugh, most people would be freaked out, that a stranger just said that to them but I’m not. He makes me feel safe. I pull away slightly to look at him, I put my arms around his neck and, introduce myself, “ I’m Vicki, 18 and I am the Daughter of the Betas” he had the biggest smile on his Face and Said, “I’m Nicholi Brambilla, Beta of the Grey Howls Pack.” We both laughed it’s ironic but not uncommon. We finally collected ourselves and went back to the party. We made it to the dance floor and danced for a while. The moon was at its peak and everything was perfect.
