Day 2. On Our Way.

POV: Adeline 

Angel insists that it’s just my imagination, she tells me it’s only because I train two times a day for three hours each and I need to take a break. Isn’t training supposed to make you feel more confident and stronger?  After years of training and constant back and forth between Angel and I. We both have agreed to a week vacation before I turn eighteen. 

My mom, My best friend Vicki, and I are all going to Paris for a week. I am out of this world exited for this trip. My dad wasn’t  to happy because he was going to be away from his mate for a week but she never goes on vacation either. Right now we are on a plane about to land in Paris. My mom texted her right hand lady, her female beta all of the details to the party. The party will take place the day after we get back. 

Since my brother and I are so close he didn’t want me to go either, he wants to spend time with me before I find my mate. Every time someone brings up the fact I have a mate out there it only hurts more, in my heart I know, I will die soon. That’s why I agreed to take this trip, to see the world before I leave it.

As we land exhaustion starts to take it toll on me, we all agreed to go to our suite and get a few hours of sleep before seeing what Paris had to offer.

Getting to our room it was nothing like I had imagined, I had my thoughts on something more modern, and dull. No, this room had so many vintage paintings and statuettes to look at. Some of the roof had carvings in it, it was painted with light blues and just all around soft nature colors, it makes you feel calm and relaxed. Seeing as I was tired I just walked to the couch that looked fluffy and inviting, I put my bag down beside the table and laid down on the couch, I was out like a light.

As I woke up from my nap I remembered where we were...Paris. My mom already had ordered us some food, it all looks delicious. She had ordered us many fresh fruits, pastries, scones, and crapes.  Since we are Wolfs my dad had to talk to the Alpha of this territory. Because apparently on this side of the world there are no spots that aren’t claimed. So once we travel, each alpha must know who is in and out of each sector. 

This Alpha is older and has no kids except a few adopted children that him and his mate takes care of until they find a proper family. His mate had gotten kidnapped at one point and was tortured in a very horrific way and let’s just say she can’t have kids. So the pack will be passed to his brothers son, it will become one of the biggest Territories in the world.  The person who had kidnapped his mate was a human but this human was a scientist or something of that nature, my thoughts are a Mother f’in psycho. Apparently he cut her open while she was still awake and cut out their unborn child. 

She is a wolf and she is strong but no mother is that strong. A lot of the details are blurry but my heart goes out to them.  They would like to meet us for dinner one night before we leave, I’m actually excited to meet this strong couple. Maybe she can give me some strength, my mate is one of the few reasons I want to live. 

As we sit here and enjoy our Breakfast for Lunch, Vicki opens up about not finding her mate yet,

“It’s hard not finding him yet, it’s getting harder to sleep and I feel tired all of the time you know? Thank you guys for bringing me with you. This feels like a breath of fresh air compared to being stuck in the pack all of the time.”

I couldn’t help but give her a hug, I couldn’t imagine not meeting my mate. I just hope I do, and I live to be with him. I couldn’t help but say, “ Maybe you’ll find him at Oliver’s and my party, Many different packs are going to be there.” 

With that realization, she got even happier about the party which made my mom and Vicki start discussing what we are going to wear to the party. While they were talking about that I felt my phone buzz and it was my friend Kami, we mostly hang out at school, and during training but she is an amazing person, might I say fit to be a Luna. 

I see the way she  looks at my brothers and the way he looks at her. I don’t think they ever sparked up a conversation. I have a sneaky feeling they will be mates. Anyway, she wanted to congratulate me on my upcoming party. Everyone has already gotten an invite, but I think she didn’t for some reason, I asked my mom about it and she said some of the invites got sent late. 

So I let her in on that she needs to be there, I didn’t wanna tell her my suspicions but it’s hard not to. I need to let them discover that on their own. I honestly think they would make a cute couple anyway. I finally got off my phone and told my mom and Vic about my suspensions. They both agreed with me even my mom started talking about her Luna Qualities. She got so happy at the thought of gaining a Son in law and a daughter-in-law. Though we aren’t getting married, I think she is still planning a future wedding.
