“You know I have been so hungry and these boys don’t feed me much”, Nate smiles and takes the bread that I am offering him. I have brought extra since I know he gets hungry often and I understand it pretty well too.
He takes a bite and shows me the biggest grin I have seen. I poke my tongue out which makes him giggle and we have two heads turn towards us.
“You should hurry, we have to leave before sunset.” Theo glares at me but now it doesn’t affect me as I have come to know that it is out of affection and little annoyance. These people don’t mean harm to me, the one who does, doesn’t know yet what is coming for them.
