The air changed. It didn't just get colder; it became thick with the scent of a predator, a smell so sharp it made my skin crawl. I watched, frozen, as Sora’s body contorted. The sound was the worst part; the wet, rhythmic thud of her heart accelerating and the sickening crack of her bones snapping and lengthening.
