DIP: The Piercer (complete - TO BE EDIT)

As Raika ended the call, the suspect finally walked by and passed by her who looked exactly like a human but the rotten smell of blood was lingering around him. Raika smirked as she pretended to text someone on her phone before tailing the suspect.

“Tamer, I’m locking on the prey.” Raika called Luna and ended the call without hearing the feedback from her team leader.

As she kept tailing the suspect from such distance, it suddenly vanished among the crowd which made Raika call for her team. She’s feeling bad over the action of their suspect.

“A prey was been selected.” Raika whispered which made Luna gasp and immediately went to Raika’s location.

“I’m on my way.” Luna told her but Raika has other things in her mind.

“Don’t. Just blend in. By the end of the street, he’s gonna feed.” Raika seriously said which made Luna sigh toward Raika’s voice.

“You’re just like Ash whenever on the field.” Luna sighed in defeat which made Raika chuckled.

“I’ll be alright.” Raika said before the line was cut off since she’s got the feeling, she might not have ended up well with this plan in her mind.

Raika walked to where the suspect vanished and went into some shop along the street as she tried to locate where it was. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and a lightning sparked in her mind as the picture of the suspect appeared and fed from its prey.

“Tsk! So late.” Raika mumbled as she went out again from the shop like a hurried woman would do.

“Tamer, its code is red now. Two humans were dead up to the dark alley.” Raika reported that Luna immediately contacted Ashlyn since she was closer there.

But as Luna checked on Raika once again, the line was dead and it really alarmed her since Raika was just a newbie in training.

“Ash, I lost contact with Robin.” Luna radioed Ashlyn who had been seriously alarmed by that report and immediately went to the street but before she could go through, a body was lying on the ground.

As Ashlyn turned to the lifeless body of a young boy around its teens lying on the ground, she noticed that it was killed brutally. The body of the young boy was being ripped into several parts and from the chest down to the stomach a very angry s***h making every internal organs show up. Looking around, Ashlyn saw few traces of splattered blood painted on the cemented wall of the dark alley. But when Ashlyn was about to touch the corpse, another body suddenly fell out from the sky and landed on the leveled concrete. Another splattered blood painted the ground which this time Ashlyn looked up and saw the sinister boar beast staring at her. Ashlyn was cautious over her movement while both of them were waiting to make the first move. The boar beast growled at her which she took as a sign of threat and showed her gun before the gunshot echoed through the dark alley.

When the guns and rage of the claws began to crossfire, everything in the dark alley was shaken up. Missing corpses and some unidentified human bones were scattered around the place. Ashlyn was pissed over the deaths of those humans who had nothing to do with supernatural entities making her blood boil. Bit by bit Ashlyn was adding powers to make the gunshot even more to penetrating the thick skin of the boar. Their fight was getting intense which made Ashlyn lose it and her demonic warlock surfaced. The Board Beast jolted but it took Ashlyn’s shift as a challenge. The night was unfolding and as the moon showed its perfect form, began to change into blood.

“You can’t take what belongs to me.” Ashlyn said with her warlock side.

The Boar Beast wasn’t paying any attention to what she was saying but it only fuelled its rage. As it roared another magical energy was forming like it was ascending into something powerful. Ashlyn fought with all her might with the help of her warlock side but the ascending beast was getting more powerful. One hit from its claw, Ashlyn was thrown out and bleeding to death again.

“Warlock...I release you.” Ashlyn whispered which made the demon warlock laugh hysterically.

Before the boar beast gave another hit to Ashyln, dark energy was already swirling around Ashlyn. As the boar roared, one wooshed of demonic wings emerged.

“Tsk-tsk-tsk. Your very naught beast.” Ashlyn chuckled with her demonic warlock voice.

Another roared from the boar beast which made only Ashlyn laugh before once again, gave another head on fight. Once again, it was another intensified combat which made both of them release such power. The boar shifted its boar formed into half human like it was a centaur but instead a horse but a boar. Another ascending happened under the blood moon which was getting close to what Ashlyn was trying to stop. Ashlyn did another shifting making herself into her full triple-S rank. She released another wings to make them six in total with a daring succubus body and a lightning blade horn on her forehead.

“Dammit. I don’t want to use this but it's a must.” Ashlyn thought which made her demonic warlock laugh at her remark.

‘Let me remind you, you're still weak without her next to you.’

“I know...and I’m not gonna die to have her with me.” Ashlyn stated firmly to her warlock who has a sinister smile.

“Don’t be a crept around me with that smile of yours.” Ashlyn groaned before focusing on the beast in front of her.

Meanwhile, Raika was on her search when she suddenly halted from her track. Her heart was beating so hard like it wanted to go out and run to where its pair.

“f**k! Stay alive, Ashlyn.” Raika mumbled to herself before running once again to where she was supposed to be. To where Ashlyn was.

Following her guts, she was getting hard to breath and she knew that Ashlyn was near. As another turned from the corner, there she finally saw two triple-S beast fighting intensely. She was trying to locate where Ashlyn was until her eyes landed on the winged lady. Her heart beat harder than normal. Raika can’t believe that she was now witnessing the fight between triple-S but as the huge hit suddenly landed on Ashlyn made her stumble and lose her balance. Being a warlock wasn’t really that good in any close combat. Her speed might be in the top speed but an ascended beast was not in her luck anymore. Ashlyn was bleeding and Raika knew that if she didn’t do anything Ashlyn would die in front of her.

“What to do?...” Raika asked herself while looking around until her guts told her to go up.

Without wasting another second she did what her guts told her. She moved like a lightning speed and when she reached the top of one the buildings around the area, she finally spotted everything. Raika studied the flow of the energy coming out from the beast which was from the blood moon. She knew that she must cut it as quick as she could. As if on cue, the boar beast in half formed began to gather energy and release them in one blow but not in Raika’s daring eyes. She threw the quick timer bomb in between followed by her electric arrow. As the loud boom echoed in the area, just within a few seconds, Raika was able to get Ashlyn to her side.

“Sorry, I’m late.” Raika whispered as she was holding the eclectic arrow in place to enclose the explosion within the beast area only.

“Where have you been?” Ashlyn managed to ask weakly at her.

“Making my perimeter marks.” Raika flatly replied while she was studying the beast’s move.

“Seriously…” Ashlyn began to cough blood which made Raika worried. But the more she looked at Ashlyn form, she cant help but to smirk.

“What?” Ashlyn asked weakly but she was starting to heal up. With just Raika’s presence making her heal up as quickly as she could than being alone.

“Nothing but...sexy.” Raika complemented before winking at her.

Ashlyn giggled before pulling Raika closer to her and kissed her forehead. Their sweet moments were being halted when the electric arrow was broken down by the beast. It was roaring in madness. Raika immediately turned her lightning ability into shield so the impact of the wave from the roar won’t damage their hearing.

“Time to counter, Robin. I mean, Piercer.” Ashlyn whispered which made Raika jolted before smirking like a sly fox.

Raika stood up and left the shield around Ashlyn to help her heal more. As she stood firmly to her ground, she began to shift her aura into a more daring one.

“If this monster is hungry for more...let’s give it to him.” Raika mumbled to herself which her tattoo began to glow like it was agreeing to what she said.

When Raika released some of her power, her tattoo glowed like a spark of lightning which exactly called for some wind. It was swirling from her feet up to her arms like her tattoo was the one who controls them. As it was being summoned, another energy began to flow within the wind. It was getting stronger and with the spark of lightning turned into a hidden blade, Raika began to dash off like an assassin. She formed a deadly dagger to slashed some thick skin of her opponent. The beast whimpered but immediately recovered to counter but with her speed, she dodged them easily.

Moving like a thief assassin, she kept one wounding the beast which triggered the rampage of it. More energy was being consumed by this beast and its getting more power with the help of the blood moon. Raika must think fast and plot some counter to cut the ascension of the beast to a king.

“I need to find the flow between the beat and the blood moon…” Raika whispered as she kept attacking non-stop the beast.

‘Make a shot.’

“What kind of shot?” Raika asked when she heard the familiar voice behind her head.

‘You decide. What kind of shot that can cut a bond.’

“Blade.” Raika answered the voice in her head.

‘What type of blade?’

“Sword.” She responded while thinking and still fighting the beast.

‘What kind of sword that you can shoot?’

When that question was being asked, Raika finally knew what weapon to form from her Piercer. All she needed to do was to make a trap since it will be just one open for one shot. She needs to distract the beast to make an opening. She looked around the beast and since the hidden blade from the wind made quite wounds on it, she moved in some distance and released the strong wind that was swirling around her. When the strong wind began to swirl violently around the beast, it roared in pain as some blood splattered around. As the beast was busy fighting the wind around it, Raika was already in her position and aiming the unseen bond flowing between the blood moon and the beast. As a shot was being made, the beast roared in pain and the bond was gone, meaning the beast won’t be able to ascend itself to a king of beasts.

“PAY!!!!!!” The beast roared and made the war cry effect which released such strong wind that almost made Raika fly away.

Raika noticed the sudden change in the beast since before she could even compose herself, the beast had already hit her with such a strong and huge palm. Raika fled away because of the powerful slap of the beast.

She coughed blood and when her eyes landed on Ashlyn, she saw how worried she was but at the same time angry for couldn’t do anything to help her. Raika shook her before nodding to Ashlyn. She assured her that she can do it and with that running through her thoughts, she stood up once again. This time Raika’s tattoos began to glow much brighter which caught the attention once again of the beast.

“You have it.” The Beast roared at Raika then attacked her with such power.

But before the hit reached Raika, the Piercer power cloaked her which made the attack deflect to her side. Raika shifted to another level. As her Piercer cloaked her, her tattoos or markings glowed like a rainbow lightning but immediately turned colorless. Then a simple flicked from Raika’s finger, the beast arm suddenly being chopped and flew elsewhere. The beast roared once again and attacked her recklessly but she was just dodging until her left foot was wrapped by the beast’s tail. It began to smash her like a ragged doll before tossing her up to the night sky. It was the wrong move that it did. 

‘As the sun unfolds the night, a thirst of greed wakes Thanatos piercing might. ’

As those words echoed through the area, another shift happened to Raika while in the mid-air. The Piercer took the opportunity to cloak her even more. As she was being cloaked, the lightning around her arms turned dark and made her skinless once again while her right eye woke the dragon one. The dragon's eye began to make some red vein marks around that almost looked like it was bleeding but not. She was radiating in such heat like she just came out from hellfire. The beast was alarmed by the sudden shift of Raika’s power but it was too late. Riaka was still in mid-air when it happened and marked her deadly arrow to the beast's chest.

“Mark.” Raika whispered as she was about to release the Piercer.

The beast was also about to reverse its attack but it cannot be done since Raika was just ten feet away from it. Then a shot was being made when Raika released the Piercer’s arrow which moved like an unseen lightning. As it pierced its mark, it began crawling all over the beast’s body like it was dissecting before it shattered into pieces which made it rain blood.

As the intense and deadly fight was done, Ashlyn was also healed up but overwhelmed after witnessing it. Raika was only a triple-S rank newbie but still managed to finish a triple-S that just ascended because of the blood moon effect. When Ashlyn tried to stand up on her own, she noticed that Raika was standing still on her ground, different - dark.
