DIP: The Piercer (complete - TO BE EDIT)

After everything was settled down inside the DIP headquarters, Ashlyn and Raika were immediately brought to the infirmary for a checkup. They must check their bodies and run some tests for their safety since they’ve encountered a triple-s monster. When they were done, Ashlyn was alarmed when Raika’s eyes suddenly shifted into a predator, especially her right eye.

“What’s wrong?” Ashlyn asked Raika who was leaning at the wall from sudden dizziness.

“I don’t know but I felt someone’s rage…wanting for more.” Raika tried to catch her breath that made Ashlyn nod and helped her up.

‘She’ll be forcely going to wake up because of that triple-s.’

“Why is that?” Ashlyn asked through her mind as her demon warlock spoke.

‘That beast wanted to be the king.’

“What is it to you to be pissed over?” Ashlyn asked as she felt that this demon warlock inside of her has something under its sleeves.

‘She’s mine. My piercer belongs only to me’

“Seriously, what else are you hiding from me?” Ashlyn asked her demon warlock who just smirked.

‘You’ll know soon enough as the piercer fully wakes up.’

Ashlyn sighed and ignored her demon warlock but she took the warning over the triple-s that Raika just felt. As they walked at the hallway to the office area, Luna came to them and lent a report paper to Ashlyn. As she recieved the file, she already knew what it was about because her demon warlock warned her. She read the file which made him look so damn serious before meeting Luna and Raika’s face. They were waiting for Ashlyn to respond over the report she just recieved.

“Luna, take Robin with you on the field and gather clues as much as you can. This beast must be caught as soon as possible…” Ashlyn ordered them with her firm tone.

“Roger that.” Luna said as she nodded.

“And if not?” Raika asked as she tried to get her composure back.

“Hell will break since it’s close to the blood moon.” Ashlyn intensely said as they walked again to the hall. But Raika felt something radiating from Ashlyn when she said that.

“She’s hiding something…” Raika thought as they ended up at the busy headquarters.

Everyone was busy dealing with their cases but Ashlyn with Luna and Raika was about to deal the most deadly and dangerous one – the search for Pete Rasputin, the Boar Beast.

Ashlyn went to the huge town map at the podium to study every spot that the Boar Beast might pass through or even its next stop. As she kept on analyzing the possible routes of it, Luna and Raika were gearing up.

“So excited?” Luna asked Raika who was checking the flat disc time bomb.

“Not that much since I’ve been in the worst case when I’m still Flare Cruz.” Raika responded in her blank face.

“You mean when you were a thief?” Luna guessed which made Raika nod. Luna didn’t say anything after that since she doesn’t want to push Raika to recall her past.

“But I wanted to know why I’ve been chosen by the Piercer.” Raika said while putting on her black sweatshirt.

“Don’t worry you will and they might appear somewhere at the field just be patient over it.” Luna reassured her that she sighed but nodded.

“Let’s go get something to eat first.” Raika stated before they both headed to the cafeteria to get something to eat.

Meanwhile as they took some break, Ashlyn was getting some hints where the Boar Beast was going but what it's after was really confusing one. It was like it was looking for something but didn't have anything. This type of beast might look confused but Ashlyn it wasn’t. She knew that it was looking for something and she knew what it was but didn’t admit it till it spoke to her again, demon warlock.

‘Power of Piercer. Possessing it possessed darkness and light.’

Ashlyn groaned trying to concentrate on locating the next move of the beast but the more she thought of it the more she can’t. It frustrates her. She decided to close her eyes to calm herself but her demon warlock did something else.

“Seriously, Warlock…” Ashlyn hissed to herself when her power went to Raika. Ashlyn felt that her demon warlock was being possessive over Raika.

But at the cafeteria, Raika and Luna were indeed feeding themselves when Raika stopped from eating. She definitely felt Ashlyn’s but shook her head and continued her food. But Ashlyn power was bugging her which made her groan and finish her meal as quick as she can before going to where Ashlyn was.

As they rushed to where Ashlyn was, one heavy punch landed straight to her nose that made it bleed. Everyone was shocked over it but immediately went back to work when Ashlyn glared at them before looking puzzled at Raika.

“Like you didn’t know. Why did you call me?” Raika frankly asked Ashlyn who looked surprised at what she just asked.

“So you felt it?” Ashton sounded really shocked over it and Raika was puzzled.

“Well, you’re still not my partner but you felt mine...” Ashlynn stated with disbelief in her tone that made Luna look awed at them.

“I think because both of your powers complement each other since both of you were an enhancer type and they can keep up with each other.” Luna said as she read their auras.

“But still, we can’t be partners since she’s still under your training.” Ashlyn firmly said that Luna surrendered to cut the conversation.

“Like she didn’t like it one bit.” Luna thought only to herself.

As Ashlyn went back to the board to study the points where the Boar Beast last victim was found, she wasn’t that very happy. This Boar Beast was quick for being a boar monster. Its lust over its prey can make the whole town shaken up - they will notice the supernatural entities around them. As she kept on thinking what to do, Raika was also looking at the map till she saw something and it felt so off. She went closer to it to read the name of the street.

“How about sending some DIP to this street?” Raika suggested while pointing at the behind the central mall that Ashton wondered why.

“Fine, look at the points when you connect them, this street is at the intersection of each point.” Raika explained as she connected the point of each crime scene that was still unsolved by the human investigator. Ashlyn looked surprised but she smirked as she saw the connected points had formed an intersec point behind the central mall. Ashlyn immediately called for three teams to be deployed to the area.

“Tamer, you’ll be handling the third platoon and take Robin with you.” Ashyln ordered Luna which she agreed on.

“Here. Wear it since you own it and welcome to the S department.” Ashlyn said to Raika as she lent the DIP coat which meant that she was officially a member of the DIP.

“S department?” Raika asked which made Luna smirked with the other two.

“S department was like an elite force who faced S-rank monsters. We’re S-rank as well Ash but she was higher rank than us.” Drake explained.

“Well, Ash was a triple-SX rank. Meaning her limit is unknown.” Shaun continued which made Raika look at Ashlyn who was so serious looking at the map.

“Enough of that, Robin was a triple-S rank as well. So gear up.” Luna cut to the chase and ordered those two to be in position.

“Don’t forget you possessed the power of the mythical and legendary Piercer.” Luna whispered to Raika to assure her that she did it. Raika nodded before wearing her coat to be identified that she was one of them.

As she wore it, she felt very powerful magic suddenly flow within her like she was being protected and the coat was the one doing it.

“Magic isn’t it?” Ashlyn spoked which made her almost jumped but nod.

“Be careful out there. I will be on the watch.” Ashlyn said before kissing Raika’s forehead. Raika wanted to say something but caught in her throat.

“Listen up! Do what your assigned task but today, S Department will be taking risk for this one task since it is Blood Moon tonight. Wish our team luck to survive the night from hunting this wanna be king of the beasts. GEAR UP!” Ashlyn announced to the DIP members then to her team.

As the three teams were being deployed, none of them knew that Ashlyn was following behind them. Aside from Raika. Like what Ashlyn mentioned to Raika, she was there to watch and study from the distance and be a backup if there were any critical circumstances.

As the group scattered and blended among the busy crowd at the central mall, Raika saw some glittering at the Magic Craft shop. She went there to check it out and as she got inside, it was totally empty apart from the shopkeeper.

“Interest on something, dearie?” a motherly lady asked her that Raika shook her head and attempted to leave the shop but something flew out from the cashier area.

“Seems like this one is for you.” The lady smiled at her after she picked up a small old brown book.

“But I don’t have any money.” Raika replied but the lady just smiled at her.

“Answers that you’ve been looking for, you might find there. Just take it.” The lady said while lending the small book to her.

Raika opened the book and she was amazed at how well detailed the sketches are. The book was just full of sketches without any words but to her, it does speak more than enough. But Raika suddenly felt dizzy when she saw Piercer. It made her recall something that she forgot from her memories, her dream about the past. The reason why Piercer was born.

“It was supposed to be the gift to the amazons…” Raika whispered as she recalled the glimpse of the dream on her first day at the DIP.

The lady nodded while smiling at what she was seeing on Raika. She can see something in Raika since the lady has the affinity of the spirits.

“It already runs in your veins. Just let it flow in you.” The lady snapped her from being dragged down to her very own dreamland of the past.

“What do you mean it runs in my veins?” Raika asked though she knew them already.

“You already know from once dream that you kept dearly.” The lady answered which made Raika smile since she was right, it was her great grandmother’s memory. 

“Learn from it before you choose your path with it.” The lady continued that seriously left puzzled in Raika’s mind then the shop door began to open widely for her.

Raika left the shop with a puzzled mind but she just let it slide for a while and put the book on her sweatshirt. In just a few minutes, Luna buzzed a call through her earbud. 

“Robin.” Raika picked the call.

“They found the Boar Beast at Ventus Street one block away from the Magic Craft shop.” Luna reported to her team.

“Roger that.” Raika answered as well as the other then the call was off.

“Oh boy, let’s get over this one, Piercer.” Raika whispered to herself which made the tattoo on her arms partially glow like it agreed to her.
