When she began to open her eyes everything was blurry and foggy but when her eyes were grown to use the light, it became clearer. All the things she was seeing as she roamed her eyes around the unfamiliar clear white room. Flare wanted to sit up when she felt some tingling sensation from her right arms. She removed the comforter to see what’s wrong with her arm and it surprised her to see a fully detailed tattoo.  “Is this that tattoo crawling onto my skin?” Flare asked herself when someone entered the room. Flare looked at the fairlady with such an awed expression because the lady was so charming and gentle even though she has bold and seductive eyes. But the more she looked at her; she noticed that this very fairlady looked somewhat familiar. “Good to see you’re finally awake.” She greeted her with such energy and a smirking face as she walked toward her bed. “How long I’m out and you definitely look familiar. Where am I? What happened?” Flare began to rain her questions. “Okay relax, first you are safe now. Second, you’ve been out for a week and yes you know me, the mysterious fairlady in your eyes at the restobar and in the park.” She answered her with such calmness with a smile on her face that made Flare nod in understanding. “Fourth, your apartment was burned down and everyone thought you were dead since nobody can find you except us…” she continued with seriousness within her tone as she studied the reaction of Flare to what she just told her. “I’m what?” Flare didn’t quite understand what she was saying. The fairlady just nodded as she sighed. “Okay, if you recall, there was a fire that occurred at your place and nobody noticed that you were there inside…” she explained gently while watching her reaction. “How’s that even possible, I was about to head out for my work when I felt dizzy and fainted…” Flare said until she realized something. She was supposed to be dead out of suffocation and burn since her unit burst into flame. “…how I survived?” she asked looking directly at her arms where the tattoo was. “If you believe in the supernatural, it happened to you.” She frankly but softly said as she took her phone out to message someone. “Explain.” She firmly said and still looked at her arms like she was trying to recall everything that happened that very incident. “Okay, but first eat. You need it and I’m Ash. Ashlyn Fraxinus.” The fairlady introduced herself while smiling at her. Flare studied the fairlady as she came on repeating through her mind the name of Ash since she felt like she knew or heard it from somewhere. Recalling who owned the name finally came rushing into her which made her eyes widened in realization. “Seems like she remembers me…” the fairlady named Ashlyn thought while checking her watch. Flare was about to ask Ashlyn something when a knock echoed the room and the door swing to open. It revealed two guys and a girl came in with tons of decent food and some new clothes. The first guy put the tray of full course meal on the side table with a calm and collective face. The second guy who sat in a vacant chair with a grin on his face made Flare shaken up a bit. Lastly, the girl who was a simple and approachable Lolita made her felt welcomed. “I’m Drake.” He introduced himself before he went to the edge of the bed. “I’m Shaun.” The second guy said with a grinning smile that made Flare uneasy. “You’re making her uneasy.” The lolita girl smacked the back of the head of Shaun. “And I’m Luna.” She introduced that made Flare smile then looked at the shopping bags that she was carrying. “Oh right, these are your new clothes. Ash told me that you like guy clothing so I bought unisex instead.” Luna told her that made her nod in understanding.   After they gave what she needed for the first day she woke up, they left as they got a call from their work. As Ashlyn and Flare left alone in the room, Ash told Flare to eat her meal for today before she could explain things to her clearly. She watched Flare eat her meal like a hungry lion that can’t be touched or disturbed which she found amusing.  “I never met anyone who ate like a lion.” Ashlyn thought while she enjoyed watching her eat her meal. When she was done eating, Ashlyn pointed the shopping bags for her to change the hospital gown she’s wearing to an appropriate one. After she changed her clothes, Ashlyn was stunned on how gorgeous she could be even though she wore sleeveless black shirt and tight three-fourth black pants with converse shoes. “What?” Flare asked as she noticed the stunned looked of Ashton. “Nothing, you looked like Avril Lavigne in short bob cut hair.” Ashlyn smiled at her that made her blushed a bit. “Anyway for starters, since everyone that knew you thought you were dead, you have to change your identity. We have to change your name.” Ashlyn got straight to the point while looking straight at her who was now confused. “I don’t get why I have to do that?” Flare asked confusedly as they began to walk out the room. “Because you’re changing. You are now different from before since nobody could ever survive that fire without any scratches except for that small cut onto your right eyebrow.” Ashlyn said with such seriousness written all over his face. “I don’t get what you mean by that I’m changing.” Flare was indeed confused over what she was saying.   Ashlyn stopped from walking then looked to her left which made Flare look as well. She was shocked seeing Luna talking to some huge, deadly and furious wolves. Flare couldn’t comprehend what she just saw until she noticed Ashlyn walked ahead of her again. She noticed that Ashlyn was like a supervisor the way she walked and watched every hall that they passed through.   “Ask.” Ashlyn stated as she felt Flare’s tailing her. “Ah! Hmm, tell me why would I have to change my identity?”  Flare frankly asked her. “You saw Luna right? She’s just like you, well everyone who’s been through with supernatural entities or creatures that ordinary people can’t see or knew that they were existing. Rob...or should I call you Flare Cruz?” Flare looked confused but Ashlyn smiled at her before continuing. “You died in that fire. You are not who you used to be. You are you but something else.” Ashlyn started to explain things to her. “Like what?” she asked while they were walking through the white hallway to the green garden. “Remember that tattoo on your arm?” Ashlyn asked, which made her nod but still confused to where their conversation was heading. “That tattoo of yours only appeared when you’re changing, born with supernatural powers, marked by supernatural, or chosen by them.” Ashlyn continued as Flare kept listening as she also tried to understand what was going on. “That’s why we have to change the identity that we found alive in the cases we’re dealing with and you were one of them.” Ashlyn kept talking while passing toward a hallway where designated booths were being occupied by people who were doing their jobs. “It’s like a MIB movie…” Flare thought which made Ashlyn chuckled before speaking again. “Changing identity was for the safety of yours since the Flare Cruz they’ve known was already dead. Plus, you’re changing and we don’t want you to go berserk or release any supernatural powers that were resting within you. But I will be honest with you…” Ashlyn stated before stopping from walking which led Flare bumping onto her back. “Sorry.” Flare mumbled with her embarrassed tone since she bumped onto Ashlyn’s back. Ashlyn didn’t mind it at all. “We need to figure out what power resting inside before you could go out freely with the new identity.” Ashlyn continued as she studied Flare’s reactions since the information she was giving was indeed flooding inside her mind. “You are still you but with a different name not to mention the power that was resting inside of you.” Ashlyn stated while pointing at Flare’s right arm which made her look at it. Flare was getting the idea of what Ashlyn was trying to make sense on what’s happening to her. “Okay, if what you’re saying is true, what will be my identity then?” Flare asked with curiosity that made Ashlyn smile wickedly then pulled Flare’s right arm and took her into some private room.   Flare was caught off guard by it but when they entered a private room, Ashlyn encircled her then went to her computer to type something. When she was done, she went to another room and when she came back, Ashlyn was holding a folder before lending it to Flare.   “What is this?” Flare asked as she opened the folder to look over it. “That’s the application form. Just fill up the name, age, where you live, and the change in you.” Ashlyn told her with such excitement in her tone. “Seriously Ash, a fill-up form?!” Flare sounded like a stubborn kid when she said it while waving the paper to Ashlyn who was now sitting on her desk, working. “Oh sorry, that application form was needed for making you a new identity plus to observe what your power might be.” Ashlyn explained with a friendly smile that she knew it would make her sighed.   Flare sat at the couch and read the paper quietly while Ashlyn was watching her as she pretended to be doing such tough work. When Flare filled up the form, she went to Ashlyn to give the form back to her. Ashlyn read them carefully until she reached the tricky question which made her smile. “Honestly, this girl answered them like any human would do but on the last question, she’s really no ordinary human anymore.” Ashlyn thought as she read the form that Flare filled up.  Upon reading Flare’s answers, Ashlyn wrote something on the paper which may lead to Flare’s new fate.
