Gonzalo’s pov
The darkness made me lose focus, my hands stayed bound behind my back but I could hear a scraping sound in the distance, followed by a howl, one that was suppressed, more sounds came from outside, followed by heavy footsteps.
“What’s going on?!” I paused but there was no response from anyone. That was beyond strange, they would answer me even if it was with snide remarks but then I had a whiff of something familiar, metallic and wrong, it was blood.
Then I heard rustling from outside the dungeons and then yells and claws clanking against each other, it was a fight and worse, I could tell it wasn't brother coming down here.
Then I heard footsteps approaching my cell, my hands bound by chains behind me. I moved the shackles, struggling with all my might to pry myself free.
