Chapter 9. First time Shopping.

Rose.

“So Rose, What type of clothes do you like?”

“I don’t…. C..Care wh…at… ever fits.” I say mumble.

“No, that is what I like to hear. We are going to get you so much.” Nicca Claps. And Giggles. I can’t help but blush.

“What about your hair?” Sandy asks.

I tilt my head. “Would you like a cut or style?” I shake my head no.

“No.. It.. its the only…. Th. thing I like ab… abou…about myself.”

Sandy smiles sadly. “You are very beautiful, Rose. Never ever let anyone tell you different. But I happen to agree your hair is just to die for. Now we should have the split ins trimmed.”

I don’t know; I love my hair. To even think of cutting it hurts. I don’t know why, but my hair is something that I love more than anything. Luna tried to cut it once for it to only grow back the next day to the same length. When i said I would not cut it even to stop the hair pulling, I should have been more specific. I can’t cut my hair. I don’t know why, but it always grows right back. It’s never been longer than the top of my shines or as short as the top of my knee’s.

Looking at the ends. I try to figure out what split ends are.

“Wh…what. Are spl…pl.split end’s?”

The ends of the hair that are split.” Nicca shows me her hair.

“I d..do.dont. Ha..ave th.tha.that.” Showing her.

“Holy s**t. Your hair is like velvet, and wow, you're right, not a single one. How is that possible?”

Sandy starts studying me. Tilting her head right. She asks. “When asked to cut your hair, what did you feel?”

What kind of question is that? “I dont know. Ask her?” Ember hums.

“Wh..Why?”

“Just a question?”

“It… Hu…Hurts….. My… Heart… Lu..luna Shaved it….” Pausing, to catch my breath “One. tim..time, I fe..felt like…part of me.. Was…gone.? W..why?”

“How fast did it grow back the first time?”

“Should I answer that? I know that Luna said I was a freak.”

Ember paces. “I think so. She is the daughter In-Law of the Moon goddess.”

“O..On..One Da…day, Lu..Luna beat me for that….”

“Huh interesting.” She pauses. “Oh, look at the store. Let’s go.”

What does she think she knows?

I notice the first store that we walk into has almost everything.

“This will have to do for most things. There are a couple of other places that we can get things. But I will tell Adam he will be taking you to a larger city to get you more formal were. Have you ever thought about traveling? There is a fashion show in New York coming up. I will be there. You could even stay at my apartment.”

“You live in New York?” She laughs

“No, I live in Russia, in the same village Mother grew up in.”

“I was born in a coven in Russia. After I met Luke, Selene and Him wiped them off the map. Nicca wanted to be in touch with that side, so she built the vampire kingdom there.” I nod.

“But I visit a lot for work.”

“Wh..What Do. yo..Yo.You do.?”

“I work as a private art dealer. As a Vampire I can get in to places others can’t. I don’t do anything illegal. Or anything. Just good at convincing some to sell to others”

“Why does that sound less legal than she admits?” Ember asks. Who knows, I think.

Soon they are pushing me in to a room. “Here, take these and try them on.” huffing I start trying on a pair of pant when Nicca’s voice say “Don’t forget to come out and show us. The pants are a little long, and the shirt is a bit too large.

Stepping out Nicca hmmm’s, she goes in and takes everything out. While Sandra hands me the same stuff, just smaller. This goes on for I don’t even know how long. Store after store. They have loaded not only our car but the guard’s car. I have everything from sleeping garments to more formal. Or as Nicca said, as formal as one can get in a back woods small town.

“Ok one last stop then lunch.” Looking up, I see we have pulled up to a*****e called Victor’s Secret. “This place is where you get stuff to rile up your mate.” Sandy and Nicca both wink.

Why would we want to rile up an alpha? They get angry when that happens. They must have noticed my confusion and said. “In the bedroom, Rose, you know sex.” I can’t help the blush that turns my face bright red. Even my ears are warm. They push me in. A girl about my age comes over and asks what she can help with.

“She needs to be measured, and then some things for her mate.” I gasp. Did Nicca just say that to a human? Causing the girl to chuckle. “So who is the luck guy?”

“My Brother. found her last night.”

“Seriously? Jack and I have been hoping he finds his mate soon. You dont know what it’s like to watch one of your best friends spend years without their mate while you have one. Both Marco and Jack talk about Adam all the time.” She turns to me. My Name is Bella, I live in the pack about an hour away. So let’s get you measured.

“Y..You.. Kno..Know Ad..Adam.”

“No, I have not met him, Jack and Marco my brother spent a couple of years there as part of training, since you are here and I can smell your alpha blood you must have started your training am I right, or did you come for the mating ball.?

“Ba..ball. W..why.. Why would I.. Co..com..come for tr..trai..traiing? My.. My na..name is. Ro..Rose.”

“Its required.” She tilts her head, then shakes it off.

“Ok, let’s get this show on the road. Rose.”

I am pushed in to what I now know is called a dressing room as Ella measures me. “Perfect.” She hums. Measuring my chest “Need’s more meat here.” at my stomach. “Same here. Why are you so skinny?” she huffs and looks at me like a mom who is about to scold her toddler. I get tears. “Ba..bad L.lllifffe.” I choke out.

Next thing i know she has me wrapped in a hug. Only for my stomach to growl. Causing her to chuckle. “Okay, let’s get you don’t, so you can go find some food.” Half an hour later we have left and we’re on our way to some place to eat.

“There is the small dinner just inside the pack lands that has the best milkshakes and burgers. How does that sound” Nicca asks. I just nod. As I really don’t care if what it is as long as its food and I can nap after. Half an hour later, we are seated in a booth at a small fifties style dinner. The older she wolf comes to take our order.

“Luna Rose, Luna Sandra, Queen Nicca. What can I get for you all?”

“H..Ho… How Do you kn..know my na..name?”

“I was at the ball last night Luna. I was so happy when the Alpha finally found his mate. Now maybe those sluts will back off.” I can’t help but chuckle. “I.. me..meet. One.. t..th.this morning.”

“You are getting better at talking” Ember hum. “I guess without fear that can happen.” She mumbles, getting ready for a nap.

She laughs. I look at the menu. “I do..don..don’t kn..kno.know wh..what to. To try?”

“The bacon cheeseburger with fries and a classic chocolate shake is a good choice. That is what I would like, Sally.”

“Me too. But any new flavors in the shakes?” Sandy asks.

“We got a couple of new flavors. Mint chocolate chip, strawberry, and one that our own alpha came up with peanut better and chocolate. It’s probably the best seller we have?’

“Ill try that one,” Sandy tells her.

I can’t help but want to try that one two. I love chocolate and peanut butter. Maybe together they are even better.

“I.. Ill. Have the..sa..same” I smile at who I know now as Sally.

Nicca and Sandy ask me questions nothing big, but things like my favored color, music, tv, movies. Most of which I can’t answer when our food arrives. I can’t help the drool that comes down my chin. The burger looks so good. One bite tells me i am right. The fries are so soft. I have not had a burger and fries since school. The shake is amazing. I watch with both fascination and disgust as Nicca dips a fry in her shake.

“Thats gross.” I can’t help but say, causing her to laugh.

“Your face is priceless. But try it. It’s so good.” looking at her like she is nuts, I pick up one that is crispy and dip it in. The saltiness of the fry mixes with the chocolate and peanut butter are so good. I can’t help the moan that leaves my lips.

“See I told you.” I just nod and go back to eating. Soon we are done and back in the car. I don’t think I even made it ten minutes and i was out like a light.

I vaguely hear a voice.

“What… mate..” a chuckle. “Did she…….fun? Good….” I feel some slight movenet. And tingles spread across my body, I curl in to the feeling. “Sleep, love…..” soon I feel a softness under as the blackness has fully engulfed me.
