Chapter 6

2073 Words
Then there's Cole's mate; she has a younger sister, Micaela, but everyone calls her Micky. Since the day we all met, we've been inseparable. They made all the harsh and exhausting days from training seem like a walk through the park. They know the truth about me and they accepted me with open arms, telling me how they would protect me. Even though I was away for so long, I still managed to stay in touch with Dylan and Chloe. While being here they kept me up-to-date with all that was going on back home. What I didn't expect is how different Kyle was after I left. Apparently, he had become deeply depressed and stayed home for a few weeks. I know that he deserved the pain he was going through but it didn't help that my heart clenched in pain for him, not wanting him to have to go through that. Dylan continued to explain that after a few months Kyle was completely different from his old self. He no longer went out partying all the time and decided to rather step up and be the Alpha his pack deserved. What had everyone in shock though was when Kyle had called a pack meeting, finally announcing that I was indeed his mate. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that the Kyle Black, would declare me as his mate. I didn't believe that he would regret rejecting me, and yet here we are. Sure, I wasn't over the fact that he did it, I was still deeply hurt but it seemed that, that anger I was holding onto was slowly fading away with how much good he was putting into the world now. I know it's cheesy, sue me. What angered me though was right after he announced that I was his mate, was the fact that he believed I was dead. That I had killed myself. Dylan explained that Kyle could barely get the words out before he was a crying mess. Where on b****y earth did, he get the idea that I was dead?! Both Dylan and Chloe tried asking where he heard that but Kyle always ignored the question and walked away, pain radiating in his eyes. They both tried telling Kyle multiple times that I was alive, but he never wanted to believe them, saying that they were just giving him false hope. After that, they never got another chance to speak to him. He was always just throwing himself into his pack duties and school. Well he was going to believe soon enough when I get back. I shook my head from my thoughts and continued making my way to Will's room, wanting to know what time we were leaving tomorrow. I didn't bother knocking and just walked right in. Big mistake. I screamed b****y murder, closing my eyes tightly while trying to rid the scene that I had just witnessed from my memory. "My poor virgin eyes! Put on some damn clothes!" I yelled at them, turning to face now with my eyes still shut tightly. "Well maybe if you had the decency to knock, you wouldn't have had to see that." He mocked as I heard them moving around the room behind me. I scoffed but didn't reply until I heard him say that I could turn around. "So, what do you want, c**k block?" He teased as he sat down on the bed next to his mate. I growled at the nickname. "Don't call me that!" "Okay then what about Your Highness?" He teased once again and I chucked one of his shoes at him. "That's worse and you know it!" He knew how much I hated the formalities, it bothered me a lot when someone called me that. I don't know why, it just did. "Anyways," I dragged out, remembering why I had actually come down to see him, "What time are we leaving today?" I asked, raising a brow in his direction while his mate began to pack their stuff. School was starting tomorrow, so we all had to be back before then. Even my brothers were attending, mainly just to keep their eyes on their mates. If I was them, I would have said no. Who the hell would want to do another year just for their mate? Not me. "We leave at 7 tonight. Now get out." He stated, giving me a look. I put my hands up in surrender, knowing exactly what was about to happen. I did not need to be here and witness that once again, so I quickly ran out and made my way to the training hall. Today was my last day of training with the Ancients. The Moon Goddess had appointed all of them with different powers so they could train the next-in-line Moon Goddess, which would be me. They apparently weren't the first wolves to roam the Earth but they have lived for over 1000 years. They will finally start ageing once again when I appoint the new ten Ancient Wolves. I knew it was a big decision to make, but as they explained when the time was right, I would know who would be deserving of the title. When training began, they pushed it over my limit, always telling me that I need to be ready for the toughest of choices from now on. Trying to master ten powers was difficult, they made sure of it. They explained that ever Moon Goddess has an eleventh power, no one knew what it was, but it would come to me at a time that was most needed. My powers varied in many areas: Water, earth, air, fire, teleportation, levitation, hypnosis, shape shifting, mind reading and finally healing. Over the year, I noticed that whenever I was in my wolf form and I was using my powers, the blue swirls that was scattered across my body would begin to glow, making it seem as if blue flames were surrounding me. I spoke with Moona a lot, especially when the stress and anxiety began to get to me. She kept me calm, telling me how I wasn't alone in all of this. I had her, my friends and my family. Finally, the time came where we were about to leave. I bid my farewells to the Ancients, thanking them for everything they had taught me and my brothers throughout this year. We all had gone through a lot this year, becoming closer to each other with every passing day. Then we left. Throughout the trip I was mostly silent. All I could think about was seeing Kyle again. I was stuck in the middle of deciding to either giving him another shot or trying to move on and find someone else to love. On one hand he had hurt me so badly I truly felt like I was dying but on the other hand he realized his mistake. He changed, even with the idea of me being dead. He didn't change having the idea that I would come back and see him differently, he changed even with the thought of me never coming back. I made the decision; I would give him another shot, but maybe we could start out as friends first. I didn't want to jump the g*n and end up giving him my all and that turning back to rejection once again. I know my friends and family won't be too keen on the idea, but it is my choice. Chapter 10-01 "Home, sweet home!" I cheered happily, not caring if the entire world had just heard me. Walking into the foyer I immediately dropped my bags, having missed our old house. It all looked the same as we left it. My parents had managed to have a friend come over once a week, keeping the house clean while we were all gone. I heard a growl from behind me as I watched everyone else enter the house. "Do you have to yell like that? We're not deaf, and you're starting to give me a headache." He groaned, rubbing his head dramatically as if someone was pounding away at his head with a hammer. I rolled my eyes at his words, having dealt with it for a while now. "Can you blame me? We were stuck on that flying death machine for hours and I couldn't fall asleep." I pouted, looking up at him with an innocent puppy dog look. He playfully glared at me, knowing full well that I couldn't sleep on the plane as I had taken it upon myself to annoy as many of them as I possibly could. Him being the easiest target. "I'm with Scott on this sis. Have mercy on all our souls when you take over as the Moon Goddess." Cole teased, a sly smirk on his annoying face. I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest and glaring at my big brother. "Well you should keep in mind dear brother that I can unleash my wrath upon you if you don't stay on my good side," I stated with a smirk, trying to seem innocent as I continued, "As for now though, I'll just do this!" I smirked happily when he was suddenly soaked head to toe in water. I burst out laughing at the sour face he now had, glaring at me angrily from what I had done. "Look I'm all for pranking Cole, but did it have to be my water the second I need a sip from it." Liam whined as he tipped over his now empty water bottle to show that it was indeed empty. "Aww come on! You know that it was put to much better use with Cole." Will teased, shoving Liam with his shoulder. Liam growled and jumped at Will, tackling him to the ground. I was still laughing hysterically from everything, already on the floor holding my stomach. Everyone around us were laughing along with me as Cole decided to join the dog pile, causing the other two to become wet as well. The only one who wasn't laughing was Bennett, just shaking his head and muttering how we were all like children. "Says the one who throws a fit whenever he doesn't get his way!" Jordan teased and instantly another wrestling match started between the two. Soon enough they all broke apart, smiling and teasing each other. "Well, we're off to bed. Night everyone!" Will called out, that leading to almost everyone else doing the same. Soon it was only me, my parents, Jordan, Ben, Scott and Mickey; only for the fact that my parents were showing them each where they would be sleeping. Eventually I was left alone in the kitchen. I went and grabbed a glass then filled it with water, thinking about how tomorrow was going to go down. I had kept in contact with Dylan and Chloe and apparently Dylan had a surprise for me tomorrow when I got there. Though all my mind kept jumping to was how would it be when I saw Kyle? I shook my head, knowing that I was overthinking everything right now. I was making myself worried over nothing, well not nothing but that's besides the point. It was already past eight but I continued to feel anxious and decided a run would be good for me. I quickly ran up the stairs and told Will through the door, not needing to walk in on anything once again. He said alright and reminded me to change my furs colour. It was one of my abilities that allowed me to change but it had a con as I could only change the colour after I had transformed into my white wolf. Therefore, it restricted me from changing in front of anyone who didn't know my secret. Walking outside, I jogged over to a large tree and stripped of my clothes. I placed them neatly by the tree before shifting into my wolf. I shook my fur out, enjoying the feeling of being in my true form. I hardly ever got to stay like this as it was too dangerous regardless of where I was. Quickly I allowed my fur to shift to a silver colour, close to my white but not bringing up any suspicions to anyone who saw it. No longer was the snow-white fur that had blue glowing swirls moving over my form.
