There are three things I knew for certain: I failed my third period test, Steven Hempfield was absent, and the likelihood of getting Charles alone was slim to none because of his outstanding popularity. Approaching him during class wasn't an option for obvious reasons, Catia clung to him in the hallways between classes, and he sat with a huge group of jocks during lunch.
