I used to believe home was the one place no one could ever take from me.
I was wrong.
The people I loved chose money over me, and the man I was supposed to marry walked away without looking back. In a single night, I lost my family, my future, and my freedom.
Then he appeared.
The city's most feared billionaire.
Cold. Powerful. Untouchable.
They said I belonged to him now, as if I were nothing more than a deal signed on paper. I promised myself I would never forgive the people who sold me or the man who bought me.
But the deeper I fall into his world, the more I realize nothing is what it seems.
Maybe the villain isn't the ruthless CEO.
Maybe it's the people I once called family.
The more I said I hated him, the more I fell for him.
The more I know him I know the reason why he was heartless.
But he's better than my family who abandoned me.
Better than my childhood sweetheart who was faking his love for me,
Who gave me empty promises and gave me unwanted gifts?
That is what makes me really feel unwanted and heartbroken.
