Chapter 2

1904 Words
Two Months Later  The school was out and Dominick was happy to graduate when he did. Now he could sit back and collect more money. He would worry about college another time. Especially with him knowing what he wanted to do. Now the only thing he worried about was stacking his paper up. He still couldn’t believe what went down two months ago behind the school. s**t was crazy, plus $10,000 was down the drain. He was going to get that back, or somebody was going to die. The trade went left fast as f**k. It was stupid of him to pull his g*n out, but s**t he wanted things to go the right way. It just came to Dominick that he lost out on some good drugs, for his stupidity. But those niggas stole his s**t, that s**t foul and he was going to get it back.   The reason he didn’t get it back or even fought for it sooner, was because of school. Dominick wasn’t fighting at school. Hell no, but Bird a*s got what was coming to his a*s. That was a b***h move he did, and he was going to pay.  “Baby?” He heard Faith calling his name. What the hell she wanted now? She was forever calling his name when he wanted to think.  “What’s up?” Dominick answered back.   “Are you hungry?” She asked him. Was that a trick question?  “Duh, Fay.”   “I just asked, no need to get an attitude about it.” Faith walked into the bedroom where he was. “What’s wrong with you anyway?” Faith asked him.   “s**t, just still tripping off that money.” Dominick looked at her as she climbed on his lap.   “Babe, I told you it was a bad idea to do it with that dude. You didn’t know him, plus you drew your g*n first. It wasn’t smart on your part, but he took your money. You should have followed behind his a*s and beat the s**t out him. That b***h Kenya got something coming for her a*s. My head still f****d up.” Faith rubbed the back of her head. Faith started having bad headaches after Kenya kicked her down and she hit her head against a car. When everything was going down, Kenya pushed Faith down and when Faith tried to get back up Kenya kicked her back down and caused her to hit her head.   Dominick smirked at Faith.   “They going to get it, sooner than they both think.” He kissed her.   “You got your money back, plus extra. You shouldn’t have gone to him in the first place.” Faith said, glaring at him. After the fight Dominick had with Bird, Dominick started dealing with another plug he heard about.   “Okay, Fay damn. You don’t have to keep repeating your damn self. I get it, it was a dumb a*s move on my part. Just drop the s**t, you getting on my nerves.” He snapped.   “Fine, I’ll leave then, if I’m getting on your nerves. Somebody need to knock some sense into that big a*s head of yours. Bye.” Faith said, getting off the top of him and grabbed her shoes.   “Man really, you overreacting. I was saying you getting on my nerves because you keep repeating the shit.” Dominick said to her.   “Whatever, I’m still leaving. You not about to take your anger out on me.” Faith said, angrily. She left out the bedroom before Dominick could say anything else. She didn’t have the time for his bitchy a*s attitude. She would catch a bus home.     ***  Dominick sat at his trap house smoking a blunt when his office door opened, and his best friend Tank walked in.  “I think I have a way to make more money.” Tank stated when he sat down. Dominick passed him the blunt and glanced at him.   “How?” Dominick asked.   “You know those, Mexican niggas, over there on the west side?” Tank inquired, referring to one of the biggest d**g dealer gangs known around Atlanta period.  “Yeah, so what about them?” Dominick shrugged.   “s**t we can try to take that s**t from up under their nose, my nigga.” Tank said. What Tank didn’t mention was it could be risky as hell. The Mexicans was a big group and had eyes and ear all over Atlanta as well.  Dominick started to think about it. He was all down for making more money. He needed more anyway to get his money back up also to move out his crappy a*s apartment building.   “Well s**t, let’s do the damn thing. Get Faith in here, I might need her.” Dominick voiced to Tank. Tank took out his cellphone and shot Faith a text message. Faith and Dominick still managed to work together even when they mad with each other. Dominick ran a d**g operation with his girlfriend. When Dominick and Faith got mad at each other they spent time away from each other in the small house.   “What do you want?” Faith inquired, with her arms folded.   “Cut the attitude, ma.” Dominick glared at her.   Faith huffed. “You had one earlier, so it’s my turn.”    “Whatever, but what would you say about we taking over the west side?” Dominick asked.   Faith eyes bugged out of her eyes. Was this nigga crazy? “It’s asking for trouble.”  “It would not be asking for trouble if we be smart about it.,” Dominick stated. He looked around for his blunt. “Tank a*s stole my f*****g blunt.” Tank was long gone out of the office.   Faith shook her head. She didn’t try to argue with him. When his mind was made up, you could forget about trying to change it.   “When are you trying to do this?” Faith inquired.   “We could ride over there right now to check s**t out,” Dominick suggested.   “That’s a good idea, but I’m still in the middle of counting cookies.. I think we have extra than last time.” Faith told him with an arched eyebrow. The cookie Faith was referring to was actually cocaine.  Dominick smirked. “I know, I got extra for free.”    “I just know you don’t have Tank out there stealing that shit.” Faith glared over at him. Tank and Faith were just as close as Tank and Dominick. When Dominick and Faith got together, Tank and Faith became close as well. He always took up for her when Dominick started acting like an a*s towards to her.   “Nah, I’m a good person. People looks out for me.” Dominick said.   “Yeah, okay. You don’t have to cook that s**t, I do, though.” Faith glared at him. Faith was the one who cooked the cocaine for Dominick when he wanted her too along with Shay, a female worker.   “I don’t see why your a*s complaining when I give your a*s money for the shit.” Dominick glared back at her.    “That’s beside the point. I’m not the only female working in here. Why didn't you get Shay to help out? Her a*s only bags w**d all day long.” Faith folded her arms.   Dominick sighed deeply, he didn’t even know why he tried. Faith always found something to b***h about. He didn’t want to argue so he would drop it—for now.   “Well since you not doing anything. Come jump on this dick.” He joked. Faith mouth dropped.    “Nope, I’m still not ready.” Faith said.   Faith was a eighteen years old virgin, and she was scared to have s*x. She did give him head basically when he wanted it, so he wouldn’t go anywhere else and cheated on her. That was her fear, but at the same time, she was still scared to lose her virginity. It didn’t help that his birthday was coming up, and he hadn’t got any s*x from her yet. He was hoping that was when she was giving it up to him. He would have to make it special for the both of them. He was praying on that.   “You need to get ready. You can’t keep a sexy nigga like me waiting for long. How long has it been again?” He asked.   “A year and five beautiful crazy months.” Faith said smiling.   “Exactly, it’s time,” Dominick said.   Tank walked in interrupting the intimate moment they were having.  He dropped a freshly rolled blunt on the desk.“Here you go, nigga. I smoked your last s**t, lately the w**d that we been supplying been good as hell. I’m high as hell right now. Where the food at, Fay?” Tank looked at Faith.   “At the store.” Faith rolled her eyes at him. Dominick cracked up laughing as Tank folded his arms.   “Guess what, though?” Tank changed the subject.   “What?” Faith and Dominick said in unison.   “That nigga Bird, moving that big s**t,my nigga. I heard he have it all. Y’all need to squash the beef. s**t need to be done   the right way.” Tank glared at Dominick.    “Aye, bruh it wasn’t my fault. I wanted to make sure that nigga wasn’t doing any foul a*s s**t. My s**t got stolen. I’m still going to beat his a*s for that.” Dominick promised.   “That’s a tall a*s nigga.” Tank joked   “Like I give a f**k, I’ll knock his tall a*s out.” Dominick snapped.   “And I’ll help.” Faith said.   “Aww look at y’all. But s**t, I want his bad a*s b***h. You think she would f**k with a nigga like me?” Tank asked them.   “No.” Faith and Dominick said at the same time.   There was a knock at the door. Shay walked in.   Shay was one of the workers that helped Faith with the supplies.    “We ran out of bags. Also, one of them Lil’ niggas ran out of w**d. He looking for more.” Shay said.   “Already? Tell his a*s to come here.” Dominick placed his g*n on the top of the table.   Faith shook her head. Dominick and Tank were crazy they really thought they were doing shit.. Shay walked back out to get the Lil’ nigga as they called the rookie dudes that just started.   The Lil’ nigga walked in and pulled up his pants. He looked nervously around as Tank smirked with his pen in his hand.   “What’s your name, boy?” Tank asked him.   “J’Shawn Franks.” He licked his lips nervously.   “So I heard you a fast worker.” Dominick looked at him. Everybody peered at J’Shawn as he shifted nervously from one foot to the other.  “Yeah I sell my stuff at school,” J’Shawn said.   “Damn you must be selling all day, all your s**t went that fast. I just gave it to you yesterday, that was a big a*s bag. How much you made today?” Dominick asked J’Shawn.  “Over $300,” J’Shawn said honestly.   Faith eyes widened as she peered over at Shay. Tank did the same thing. Shay avoided eye contact with everybody.  “Is that how much you put in the bags, Shay? $300 worth of w**d?” Dominick peered at Shay. She stood nervously looking around.   “N-no, I put more than that.” Shay stuttered nervously.   Dominick smirked. “Call in another Lil’ nigga.”   Shay was supposed to bag the bags $500 per bag. When it was time to split the money, Dominick got half of what his workers sold. He was a fair nigga, but he didn’t like being shitted on either.   Tank went out this time to get another worker.   “What’s your name, boy?” Tank asked the Lil’ nigga.   “Cole.” He answered.  “From Martin?” Tank looked up from the book. Faith swatted Tank on his arm. Tank knew he could say some off the wall s**t at times.  “How much w**d do you get in your bag per bag?” Dominick asked Cole.   “$300 worth of w**d,” Cole said honestly.   Three pairs of eyes went to Shay. Shay swallowed hard. She knew she was about to lose her life. Faith stood by the door just in case Shay tried to run.   “Shay, is Shay your real name? Because you about to die. Nice knowing you, homie. Thanks for the bomb a*s head I got on a regular.” Tank said laughing.   “What happen to my money, Shay?” Dominick lit up his blunt.   “Uh, uh, umm I had to take some w**d to sell to pay off my fees at school.” Shay stuttered. She began to shudder in fear.   “School was over two weeks ago,” Dominick said.   “Yes I know, but I still had to pay my fees off, that’s why I didn’t graduate,” Shay said, with tears in her eyes.   “You could have come to me. I’m not paying you enough or something?” Dominick spat at her.   “It’s not that, Dom, I swear.” Shay cried.   “I don’t believe you. Count your blessing.” Dominick picked up his g*n and shot Shay in the head.   They all peered down at Shay body as it laid on the floor.    “Let us all have a moment of silence for the death of Shay Flowers. The girl could really suck some d**k. If I knew you were going to kill her, I would have got my d**k suck one last time.” Tank laughed he had no sympathy. He felt that the ultimate price of betrayal was death. . Cole and J’Shawn didn’t look scared. They saw up front what Dominick could do to someone who double-crossed him.  “Call them niggas, V and Phil. I need this s**t cleaned up. I want her body in a body bag and sit it on her mother doorsteps.” Dominick stood up. “Let’s go, Faith and Tank.”
