The Waning Moon Of Pain

Chapter Thirteen:

After a much needed rest from enjoying each other. Ulric smiles watching her sleep peacefully in his arms. Leaning down, gently moving her hair back, he kisses her cheeks and jawline to wake her. It's time for them to get up and have her shift for him.

"Time to wake up my Angel." He whispers softly to her.

She groans cuddling more into him, getting more comfortable,

"Do we have too?"

He chuckles, hugging his arms more around her, "Yes Angel, you still want to shift tonight right?"

Opening her tired eyes, her body felt heavier than normal, even Rin felt weak to her. He looks at her worried, feeling how weak she is.

"Angel, are you okay?" He asks worriedly. He didn't think he used up that much of her energy.

She nods, closing her eyes, " Yes, I'm just...really tired. Can we do it tomorrow, please." She groans, hugging him tight.

'Let them rest. Rin is growing.' Blake says to him.

'Growing?'

'She is to be our second Alpha and Luna, her body and wolf are growing. She will be tired for a few days while getting used to the changes. She has a lot of wolves to take on.' Blake explains.

Ulric sighs hugging his mate, making her comfortable in his arms. "Rest Angel. As much as you need."

Diana smiles pleased and falls right back to sleep in his arms. Ulric gently strokes her lovely raven hair, hoping she will be okay. He didn't take into account the amount of change her wolf would go through becoming one with him and his pack. She mostly slept for the next three days besides when Ulric would wake her a few times to get her to eat or drink something. He was worried, but he felt her getting stronger each day.

On the third day she woke up alone in the room, she did a full on stretch in the bed feeling more rested. Rubbing her eyes and looking around, she pouts wondering why Ulric isn't in bed with her or even in the room. Sitting up, pushing back her massive bed head, she sighs. Looking at her hands, she felt strange and Rin felt different as well. Looking at the time, her eyes widened as it's almost three in the afternoon, she almost slept a whole day away, not realizing it's actually been three days.

Hopping out of bed, she steadies herself feeling lighter than normal. She wondered if she felt like this because she is linked to Ulric now, to be linked to an Alpha. Then again once she has the ceremony to be the second Luna and Alpha, she will be just like him. She wonders how that's going to work, there has never been a ceremony for both for one person. They will figure it out. Heading into the bathroom for a well needed shower, she stops in front of the mirror for a second and smiles looking at Ulric's mark on her skin, on the other side of her neck still shows Darius's faded mark. Gently touching both of them, Darius felt like her normal skin again, but Ulric had such a rush through her body, it made her bite her lip and whimper at the feeling. She forgot how amazing it felt to be linked to another.

After her shower she gets dressed, putting on a purple tank top, with black shorts and her black boots. She also slips on a half black shirt that hangs off the shoulders. She puts her raven black hair back into a long french braid, leaving a few short strands around her face. Feeling content with her look, she never really bothered with makeup, she headed downstairs to find Ulric, but she didn't find him in the pack house. That's when she remembers she can mind link him now.

'Hey, where are you?'

'Angel! Are you awake?'

She giggles loving the sound of him in her head, 'Yes and I was sad not to wake up in your arms.'

'I will come to you. I was just checking up on our men, the extra team showed up yesterday.'

'Yesterday? That was fast. Well I'll be in the kitchen making myself some food, I'm starving. Do you want anything?' She said, a bit confused when he had time to call them.

'I could eat.'

Heading to the kitchen she opens the fridge and starts to pull things out to make a big hearty sandwich. She couldn't stop smiling at how amazing she feels. She starts to softly hum to herself while she puts together their sandwiches. Lost in her thoughts about how wonderful yesterday was to her and she isn't just hungry for food, she will never get enough of that man.

Ulric steps into the kitchen, seeing his beautiful new mate facing away from him, her sweet Lavender and strawberry scent filled the air, her lovely pale skin looked like it was glowing. She looks ten times healthier than when he first saw her on that day. It still blows his mind to be lucky enough to be given two beautiful, wonderful mates. Slowly coming up behind her, he wraps his arms around her slim waist and showers her neck with kisses.

She jumped a little, startled by suddenly getting grabbed from behind, breaking from her thoughts. She laughs leaning back into him, then turns her head to look into those amazing blue eyes. Her emerald eyes sparkled with so much light now, it made her look even more beautiful.

"Hello my beautiful Angel." He happily greets her, and claims those lovely lips of hers.

She sets what's in her hands down and turns around, stretching up on her toes, wrapping her arms around him, kissing him deeper. A growl rumbles in his chest as he lifts her up with ease by her thighs, turns and sets her down on the island counter behind them. She whimpers against his lip, hugging her thighs around his waist hungry for him, but her stomach suddenly grumbles in protest, making them stop.

Her cheeks flushed embarrassed as they laugh,

"Looks like I should eat first before I satisfy my other hunger." She says playfully.

Loving that big bright beautiful smile on her face, he steals a couple more sweet kisses and then pulls her off the counter, back to making her food,

"I'm not surprised you're hungry. Being mostly asleep for three days would do that." He chuckles.

She freezes, then slowly turns looking up at him surprised, " Wait what!? I've been asleep for three days? Did you wear me out that much?" She asks confused, she doesn't remember feeling that tired after their fun.

"No Angel, I didn't take in account that you and Rin would go through some changes, grow in strength to become our packs new Luna and Alpha, while taking on so many new wolves."

She does an big Oh with her lips turning back to her food,

" That explains why I feel lighter than a feather and Rin feels different too."

" Do you want to try shifting tonight?"

Finishing making their sandwiches, she puts everything back, grabbing some fruit, chips, and a soda for them both. Ulric grabs the plates and they move to the dining room to eat.

"Yes, I am curious if Rin will look any different now and she is very eager to spend some time with Blake." Picking up her sandwich and taking a bite of it she moans at the flavor, she must have been asleep a long time, this sandwich is heavenly.

"Never in my life I thought I would be jealous of a sandwich." Ulric smirks at her watching her enjoy her food, making lovely sounds from it.

Swallowing her bite she laughs, shaking her head at him. "Hey I haven't eaten much in days, don't blame me for enjoying my food."

He chuckles turning to his food and takes a bite of the sandwich, he smiles as it tasted heavenly because she made it for him. They fall silent enjoying their food for a moment. Diana has never been so hungry in her life. She ate every last bit and drank her soda, stuffing herself full. She sighs in relief leaning back in her chair, rubbing a hand over her satisfied food baby belly.

"Uh that was worth it. Any news from the teams on the rogues?"

He finished a few minutes before her and just enjoyed watching her finish her food, smiling at her rubbing her full belly. His eyes soften at the thought of her having his child, she would look amazing with a plump belly like Freya, but sadly she will never get that chance.

Diana feels his sadness, looking at her rubbing her belly, not hearing her question. She sits up gently putting her hand on his arm to get his attention. He blinks out of his thoughts looking up into her eyes,

"Hey, you okay? You got really sad all of a sudden."

He gives her a big smile and nods, taking her hand into his, kissing her fingers, "Everything is perfect Angel, no need to worry."

She gives him a small concerned look, but let's it go, "Well I asked you a question, silly. Any news from the teams while I have been asleep?"

" They should be returning tonight to check in and find out what they learned. We will have them rest when they get here and meet with them tomorrow."

She smirks and stands, moving to sit in his lap, straddling him. He smiles amused, resting his hands on her hips, pulling her close against him,

"Well we have a couple of hours until nightfall, what shall we do to pass the time?" She says playfully into his ear and kisses down his neck.

Right as she was about to tease her mark on his neck to get him riled up, the front door of the pack house is slammed open, startling them both,

"Alpha Ulric!?" Freki calls through the house in a panic.

Diana quickly hops off Ulric and they hurry out of the dining area into the front entryway seeing Freki helping their father to the couch.

"Omg dad! What happened!?" Diana quickly rushes to the other side of her father, helping him sit down.

"Oh good Diana you're awake. He was helping move things around for Tyler in your old place and then suddenly his neck went out on him." Her brother explains.

Diana moves in front of her father, gently taking hold of his head, softly feeling around his neck and shoulders,

"Dad, you know better than to lift too much in one day with your bad neck. You overworked your neck again, it's swollen and will need adjusting. Freki do me a favor, go get my table and call the doctor here to get him some painkillers. Ulric, would you mind getting me a bag of ice from the kitchen?"

The men nod and disappear, getting what she needs. Jack takes in a sharp breath as she starts to gently rub out his neck a little,

"Don't be such a baby, you brought this on yourself." She grumbles.

"I'll be fine Princess, you don't need to trouble yourself."

"You are not fine. I won't be here to take care of your neck from now on. I want you to sign up for the chiropractor in town and go at least once a week."

" Really I will…"

" No, dad please. Stop being stubborn about this. A neck injury like this could cost you your life, please, for me take care of yourself." She begs him, the last thing she needs is to lose her dad after just recovering from a hard loss.

He takes her hand and kisses the back of it, "Okay princess, I promise."

Freki returns with her massaging table and starts to unfold it, setting it up in the open area of the floor. Freki helps Diana get their father on the table, having him sit on it for now. Ulric returns with the ice, she gives him a kiss on the cheek to thank him and puts the ice on her father's neck.

"Hold that there. I will be right back." She tells him and leaves up to her room to get her healing oils.

Ulric watches her disappear to her room. He looks over at Jack holding the ice on his neck and the table that Freki brought. He glances over at Freki beside him,

"What is she doing?" He asks Freki curiously.

Freki looks over at him a bit surprised he doesn't know, but then again Diana and him just started being a couple.

"Before we lost Darius, Diana was taking classes to be a masseuse and a chiropractor. She learned it to help out our dad during his stressful days being an Alpha. She has a real knack for it, I hope she will finish her classes and get her doctorates. She has helped a lot of us here learning such a practice." Freki explains and looks over as Diana returns with a bag setting it down.

"Freki help me get his shirt off please." She says, taking the ice away for a moment. Freki steps over helping their father remove his shirt. Diana steps around behind her father and starts to feel out his neck, shoulders, and down his back.

"You have been reading hunched over in bed again haven't you?" She asks, annoyed.

" Guilty, I'll never understand how you know that just by feeling my back." Jack says and chuckles then stops regretting it.

"It's because of this knot right here." She says and presses on a spot near the middle right side of his back. Her father groans to the tension.

Ulric smiles, feeling how much she enjoys doing this besides being worried about her father. She really did have the talent for it with how quickly she analyzes the problem. The front door opens, stepping in their pack doctor. He takes one look at Jack and shakes his head,

"I should have known." Doctor says, walking over and checks his neck for him. Grabbing the ice he puts it back on his neck, then pulls out a bottle of muscle relaxers for him to take.

"You know the drill. Take two a day, with a meal. Rest your neck, you strained it pretty good this time, but with your daughter's help I'm sure you will be up and about in no time."

" Thank you Dr. Lewis." Diana says grabbing water out of her bag and has her dad take one now to help with the pain.

"Your welcome Diana. I am happy to see you up and about. You are looking much better these days. How are you feeling?"

" I am much better. I think the worst of it is behind me now."

" Good good. I will take my leave then. listen to your daughter Jack." Dr. Lewis warns him and waves bye to everyone leaving the house.

" Okay, stay still and leave that ice on your neck for twenty minutes. I'm going to warm up some towels and get some of those nasty knots out. Tomorrow if you are doing better I will give you an adjustment." She tells her dad, giving him a smile.

" Anything else you need help with Diana?" Freki asks her.

"No, thank you big brother. I will take care of him from here."

" Okay, call me if you need anything else for him. I'm going to be in my office getting to work." Freki says and waves bye to them heading to his office.

Ulric follows Diana to the bathroom on the first floor, peaking in as she grabs a couple of clean hand towels and turns the water on hot in the sink.

"I didn't know you wanted to be a masseuse and chiropractor?" He asks curiously, leaning on the door frame watching her put the towels under the hot water.

"Uh yeah, I was taking classes, but after what happened I haven't done it since."

" Well you really seem like you know what you're doing and have a talent for it. Would you want to finish taking your classes?"

Turning the water off after making sure the towels are nice and soaked in the hot water, she rings out the water from the towels,

"I don't know. With me becoming the new Luna and Alpha of our pack, you think I will even have time to do something like that and get my own practice to help people?" She asks him, not wanting to get her hopes up about it, but she would like to finish and continue doing this for people.

"We will find a way, Angel. You won't be busy all the time. If it's something you really want to do, we will make it happen." He reassures her by giving her a smile, seeing this brighten her mood.

" I would really appreciate it. Thank you." She steps over to him, giving him a quick kiss and walks past him with the towels going back to her father.

"Okay dad, that should be enough icing, let's get you laying down. Ulric can you hold these for me for a second, there hot careful." She hands him the towels. Ulric takes them and adjusts them in his hands to handle the heat of them, how was she holding these so easily?

Helping her father to lay down on his stomach, making sure his neck isn't strained. She steps over to Ulric taking one towel from him and gently lays it across the top of her father's back. He gasps from the sudden heat to his back,

"Goodness honey, that's hot."

"Deal with it, I need to get your tense muscles relaxed and towels cool down quickly." She tells him, taking the second towel laying across the middle of his back and the last one on his lower back.

She smiles seeing him starting to relax a little already, "See it's not that bad. Lay still, I will be right back."

Going to her bag she pulls out a bottle of special oils she got and disappears into the kitchen. She returns a few minutes later with a bowl of hot water with the bottle of oil resting in the middle of it to warm it. Ulric sees she needs something to set her things on, he steps over grabbing the side table by the couch and moves it over next to her father for her.

"Thank you." She says sweetly to him, setting the bowl down and pulling out a few more things to set on the table that she will need.

"Anything else I can help you with Angel?"

She looks over her things and softly shakes her head, " Umm no. I am good now thank you. Sorry I am going to be busy doing this for the next hour."

" It's fine Angel, I don't mind sitting by and watching you work if that's okay?"

Her cheeks flush and she nods, not minding at all. Pulling back the bottom towel, she feels his muscles. Taking the towel she moves it to rest over the back of his neck, then turns to the oil, seeing her ring on her finger, she removes it, setting it aside on the table and then puts some of the oil in her hands. Working the oil into her hands and warming up her hands, she pours some on the lower half of her dad's back and then starts to gently spread the oil around.

"Okay here we go dad." She tells him and gently rests her hands on his lower back and presses in to start working out the knots. Her father jumps slightly to the amount of pressure she is using,

"Ah easy princess, not so hard."

Her face turns red embarrassed, "Sorry dad. I guess I'm not used to this new strength of mine yet."

She goes lighter on the pressure, " That better?"

" Yes, that's good."

She nods and turns her focus back to getting out the knots, she is using half the amount of pressure she used to use on working out his back. Looks like she will need to learn how much stronger she is now. After about ten minutes she finds her old groove with it and continues to work down his whole back, then gently works his neck, being careful not to make what is strained worse.

It took her about an hour to finish getting his whole back really good, once she was done she cleans up her hands and his back, then helps her father up to his room to rest and sleep it off. He was already half asleep by the time she was done. Ulric helps her clean up the area, folding the table down, then follows her to her room to put it all away.

"I know the perfect room back home to change it into a work area for you. Your brother said you started to learn this to help your dad?" Ulric asks her curious to find out more about her, while putting the table in it's rightful spot.

"Yeah. I noticed how in pain my dad was from working and being stressed from losing my mom, I looked up how I could help him, talked things over with Dr. Lewis who was able to help me find a Doctor in that profession. I met up with them to learn under them and started online classes when I graduated. I've been learning about it since I was fifteen." She tells him, putting away her bag of oils.

When she turns around to face him, he is right there and grabs her hips pulling her closer. Her cheeks turn red, her hands resting on his chest, looking at her with such pride,

"You truly are amazing, you know that?"

She smiles and giggles as he leans down kissing her sweetly. She moves her arms up around his neck, pressing her body against his, leaning up to kiss him deeper. She gasps against his lips as he grabs her thighs, lifting her up, having her straddle his hips and slides his tongue past her lips. She moans softly to the taste of him, hanging onto him tight.

He tries to break the kiss and chuckles as she continues to kiss him. This woman is going to drive him crazy and he loves it. He can't wait to enjoy snuggling up with both his mates in their bed when they return home.

"Angel, slow down. We should head out and go for our run. "

Rin does circles in her head excited to finally get out and go for a run, to stretch her legs and feel the wind through her fur again. She is more than ready and definitely excited to spend some time with her new mate. Diana sighs and puffs her cheeks annoyed, pouting,

"You can't just kiss me like that and then pick me up, making me think we were about to have a fun sexy time and then stop. That's not very nice."

Ulric smirks, loving how adorable she is when she pouts like that at him. He instantly kisses her again, taking her pouting lip in between his teeth, biting. She whimpers in pain and pleasure to it, hugging her thighs more around him. Once he releases her lip, a deep chuckle rumbles through his chest,

"I can enjoy what is mine any way that I want. No pouting Angel. I can feel how badly Rin wants to be released and Blake has been itching for a good run himself. We will have plenty of time to enjoy each other later." He says with a grin, enjoying teasing her like this.

She huffs seeing this is going to be a normal thing with him, but she warned him about teasing her. Before she couldn't do it well in return with him being stronger than her, but with this new strength, she feels almost like his equal. She's not scared of him and riling him up will just make it more fun for her. Moving her hand up to tangle her fingers in his thick midnight black hair, she can feel the new Alpha side in her wanting to play this game at tug of war for the top.

Giving him a smirk, she tugs his head to the side, latching her lips and teeth to her mark, sucking and biting at it knowing it will drive him wild. A deep heated growl rips through him as his fingers dig into her thighs. He wraps his arm around her waist and reaches up grabbing her hair, tugging her head back, and slams her back against the wall. She growls at him from the sting of her back hitting the wall, his hand having a good grip on her hair. He growls louder, making her shiver in pleasure from it and submits to him, staying still and breathing heavily. That was the hottest thing she has ever done,

"I warned you, handsome. Tease me, I will tease you right back." She breathes out and chuckles.

Ulric eyes were pitch black, but so was hers. Their arousal fills the air, the heat and friction between their bodies. Normally he doesn't like to be challenged, but seeing the Alpha in her bite back in such a way, but still submitted to him, just wanting to rile him up, made him harder then he has ever been.

"You are going to regret getting me riled up like this later Angel." His voice is a low growl trying his best to not give into the urge to make her regret it now.

Diana grins biting her lower lip and lifts a brow at him, "Mmm I look forward to it actually." She growls playfully back, then snaps her teeth at him letting out a growl.

He growls louder back at her, forcing her neck open to him, and bites down with his bare teeth onto his mark. She gasps and moans out, gripping his strong back, then becomes limp in his arms, fully submitting to him now, wanting him to devour her so badly. He releases her shoulder and licks his mark a few times, making her squirm against him.

Ulric huffs, leaning back, dropping her to her feet, she leans against the wall while he grabs her chin making her look up at him,

"You are a very naughty Angel. Have you always been this wild or do I just bring this side out of you?" He asks curiously, seeing her cheeks flush, nibbling on her lower lip.

She puckers her lips thinking over her words carefully,

"Well to be honest. With Darius, I was actually the dom in our relationship. He loved having me take charge, but I only kept it that way in the bedroom, never outside of it." She grins at him as he lifts a brow at her in surprise to this news.

It's not very common in werewolves where the male enjoys being the submissive and the female the dominant, but knowing she is of Alpha blood and is now going to be an Alpha, it's understandable that she would have a more dominant trait to her.

"You don't expect me to submit to you do you? Because sorry to tell you this Angel, I don't submit to anyone."

Reaching up to gently take his hand that held her chin into hers, she kisses his fingers, "No, of course not. I enjoy the thought of being dominated by you handsome, you are more alpha then I am, but I can't help my nature to want to challenge you and get you riled up. If what I am doing bothers you or makes you angry, I will try my best not to do it anymore." She softly tells him, looking up at him, wanting him to know he has full control, she's just going to be a brat once in a while.

Ulric smiles, running a hand through her lovely soft raven hair, loving that she is still open and honest with him, making their bond stronger by the day.

"No Angel, it doesn't bother me. I rather enjoy it. I will let you know if you take it too far, but I want you to be yourself with me and not have to hold back. I will admit though, the first time you did it, surprised me, it's not what I'm used to with Freya. She is super submissive, loves doing as she is told. Just so you know you will be thoroughly punished every time you challenge me or disobey me." He tells her gently cupping her cheek, moving his large hand down to brush against her smooth neck.

Diana smirks up at him, pleased he doesn't mind her type of playfulness and hearing that Freya is super submissive, might turn out to be a little fun later down the line if Freya is for playing along. She smiles loving his touch against her skin, wanting to jump his bones so badly right now.

"I know and I understand. I will happily take any punishment you give me Ulric and I will be sure to let you know if you take that too far for me as well. It's no fun to step on your toes, if you aren't going to put me back into my place." She says playfully and grins up at him wiggling her eyebrows.

" You are one bold, crazy wolf, but I love that about you. Now expect a punishment later for getting me this riled up and snapping at me before our run. Let's get going, get that sexy butt of yours moving." He orders her, stepping aside pointing to the door.
