New Mission (Perfect Division)

Melissa turned on the Flat screen to watch News, the headline caught her attention immediately, she looked puzzled and this drew Hilda’s attention to her.

Hilda: what’s wrong Lissa? What’s the problem?

Lissa: that Man you told me about is dead

Hilda: what man are you talking about? (She glances at the TV) OH MY GOD, Mr Keith Anderson? How did this happen?

Lissa: the Newscaster says he had a heart attack in Prison, and he died before he was rushed to the hospital, is this the price for his sins?

Hilda: I heard that when his son took over the company, he made a statement in avenging his father’s imprisonment, now that the man is gone forever, what do you think he’s gonna do?

Lissa: i can’t tell but we need to alert the Commander about this

Hilda: yeah we have to go see him at the office tomorrow

Lissa: aren’t you going to bed early today?

Hilda: not yet, I’ll have dinner before I sleep

Lissa: i had a long day so I’m going up to rest, I might not be able to come down for dinner

Hilda: No problem rest well

The next morning, Melissa stretched herself and glanced at the time, she screamed and jumped down from the bed waking Hilda in the process.

Hilda: why are you making a hell of noise by this time of the morning?

Lissa: it’s past eight in the morning

Hilda: what!!!! We need to hurry do we can catch the High speed train

Lissa: I’ll use the shower cubicle, you can use the bath tub, be quick okay?

Hilda: No problem.

Melissa and Hilda showered and dressed up respectively. Melissa wore a printed skirt, with a white blouse and an Overcoat with a white boot, she wore dangling earrings, a pearl necklace and a charm bracelet while Hilda wore blue jeans and white shirt with sneakers, she wore a cross pendant and hoop earrings. As Hilda was doing her makeup, Lissa sat down to transfer the things in her clutch bag to the shoulder bag she was going out with when she came across Adrian’s gift box

Hilda: use the brooch, it will match your blonde hair

Lissa: I’ll rather tie my hair into a bun, I don’t need it

Hilda: can I borrow it for today, I’ll use it to hold my long hair

Lissa: it’s yours, I’m not going to use it anyway

Hilda: (picks the brooch) thank you amour

Lissa: you’re welcome, I want to make coffee, will you drink?

Hilda: yeah I’ll take it with the French fries I made yesterday

Lissa: you did not tell me about the fries

Hilda: it was in the night and besides you were asleep then

Lissa: okay then I’ll have some if it too

Melissa went to the kitchen. She made coffee, bread toast and scrambled eggs, then she microwaved the fries. She set the dining table and went upstairs to call Hilda who was on call with her Boyfriend when she got there.

Hilda: Lissa and I are coming to the Office today, we want to see the Commander

Owen: wow, Adrian, Jeremy and I just completed our mission, we will report at the Office today too, thank goodness I get to see you

Hilda: i miss you so much Babe, I can’t wait to see you

Owen: same here mon amour, how is Melissa?

Hilda: She is doing great, I have to hang up now so we can meet up with the Train, see you at the office

Owen: okay Chéri, au revoir

Hilda: à bientôt (she hangs up the call) how long have you been standing there?

Lissa: not been long though, madam lovebird food is ready, I guess the Guys are back?

Hilda: (blushes) yeah they will let report at the Cop shop today, let’s go and eat

They went downstairs to have their Breakfast and Hilda cleared the plates while Lissa locked up. They left the house and boarded a Cab to the Train station, then they bought tickets and entered the train heading to El Salvador. They arrived in an hour and boarded a street car to the Cop shop. They got there and went straight to the Conference room, the Commander Mr Nigel Lyon was already seated so they exchanged greetings and began their conversation

Melissa: Good day Commander, we both came in to alert you on an info we got from the new last night

Mr Nigel: yes go on, I am listening

Hilda: Good day Commander, Mr Keith Anderson was reported dead yesterday night, his son made a statement when he took over the company, that he will avenge his father’s imprisonment

Melissa: now that the Man is dead, we are certain that Mr Myles Anderson has something dangerous up his sleeves

Mr Nigel: I need a Dossier on the said Myles Anderson. Also, there are two new missions on board, these missions require that all the agents will be divided into two groups, I need you two to resume work right now, get the dossier do we can proceed with the division

Hilda & Melissa: sure Commander

Mr Nigel: Okay. This meeting has been adjourned to the next four hours, inform the other Agents. (Gets up to leave) I’ll ask my PA to alert you Guys ten minutes before time

Hilda & Melissa: sure Commander

Hilda and Lissa left the Conference room for their Office. When they got there, they met the Guys seated and trying to track down Myles Anderson’s company number. Owen sighted Hilda and rushed to her, he kissed her passionately and enveloped her into a warm hug

Owen: Sweetheart it’s been long, I missed you silly

Hilda: I missed you more Babe. Back to business, has the Commander relayed any info to you Guys?

Owen: Yes, he said there are two missions at hand, he asked that we wait for you two before he relays the next information

Melissa: like he knew we will report to the office today. Permit me, He said that we will be divided into two groups, one of these missions on hand is related to Myles Anderson’s statement, he asked for a Dossier on Myles before we can proceed with the division.

Hilda: we have a meeting with the Commander in the next four hours

Jeremy: I just tracked down the company’s number, it’s attached to a file in their system

Adrian: (gets the flip chart) call out the number

Jeremy: 00 45 92 67 31 4552

Owen: Hilda, make a report on this mission with your Laptop so you can print it out immediately

Hilda: sure, I’m on it

Adrian: Melissa, use the workstation PC to get a dossier on Myles

Melissa: sure, I’m on it

Everyone got to work. Hilda made the reports with lots of print out, Melissa, with the aid of the Internet did a background check on Myles Anders and she created a report. The Guys were trying to hack the systems of the company with the number. Four hours passed and Mrs Jodie, the Commander’s PA came in to tell them to report to the Conference Room. The Commander was already seated hen they arrived, they greeted him and took their seats.

Hilda passed the Report printout to everyone, giving the Commander a copy first, while Melissa used the projector to relay Mr Myles dossier.

Mr Nigel: you have done well. As I said before, there too missions on hand, I will now brief you all on the second mission. There is a new music company in Liechtenstein called THE EMPIRE, there are wild rumors that the Owner of that Company uses it for Drug dealing and importation of Ammunitions, so we need you to find out if these rumors are true and get actual evidence we can use to apprehend them (he dips his hand into the drawer and brings out Five envelopes) I have already prepared your appointment letters for work resumption in the respective companies. Hilda and Owen, you two have been recruited at the Music Company(he hands them their appointment letter) we need your feedback before next year comes to an end

Owen & Hilda: Sure Commander

Mr Nigel: Adrian, Melissa and Jeremy, you have been recruited at the Anderson’s Fashion company, you are to spy on him and figure out his every move, whenever there is need for apprehension, we should be alerted immediately

(He hands them their appointment letter)

Adrian, Melissa & Jeremy: Sure Commander

Mr Nigel: according to your letters, you are to resume work Next week, we already arranged Accommodation at your mission locations. You are expected to report back to the Cop shop before the end of next year, am I understood?

Secret Agents: Sure Commander

Mr Nigel: the meeting has come to an end, I wish you success in your missions

Secret Agents: Thank you Commander

They all left the Conference room for their office to have their own meeting and bud farewell to each other

Hilda: Lissa I’ll miss you, I wish we were both recruited for the same mission

Melissa: the Commander has the final say, I’ll miss you too (throws a question to Adrian and Jeremy) you two, when are we leaving for Montenegro?

Jeremy: I think we should leave on Saturday so we can settle down the rest of the weekend and resume work on Monday

Adrian: that’s cool by me, Melissa, My Driver and I will come pick you , we will all meet at the Airport

Melissa: Thank you but no thank you, I’ll rather book a cab

Jeremy: I’ll go with you since Lissa is not interested

Adrian: No problem, I’ll come pick you at your house then

Owen: Babe pack your things I’ll come pick you at your place on Saturday okay?

Hilda: not a problem Sweetheart

Melissa and Hilda boarded a Freight Train back home. On the train they had a conversation.

Hilda: why did you do that back there at the office?

Melissa: what did I do?

Hilda: how could you turn Adrian’s offer to help down in front of everyone, that’s was really humiliating

Melissa: but I asked him to stay away, he brought it upon himself

Hilda: (sighs) Adrian is a good Man, his type is very rare to see, you better loosen up and give him a chance Lissa, don’t wait till you lose him

Melissa: I don’t need him or anyone my career is paramount to me

Hilda: a word is enough for the wise

They got home and freshened up, had their Lunch and went upstairs to pack their things for the mission. Hilda had to go home to get a lot of stuffs, so Lissa helped her pack her things and escorted her to the gate where her cab man was waiting, she bade her goodbye and went back into the House. She brought out her three set Red suitcase and from the En-Suite and she packed in clothes, jewelries, scarfs, mittens, Court shoes, flats, Stiletto heels, sandals, flip flops, boots, moccasins and Sneakers, she also packed in purses, shoulder bags, wallets, duffel bags, attaché case and her make up kit. She packed in her Deodorants, Body lotions, sponge bag, towels, alarm clock, hangers, toilet paper, MP3 player, magazines and some kitchen utensils, after packing, she had a total of four Luggages. Melissa came across the gift box and the brooch was inside it, she stared at it for a long while as she dialed Hilda’s number

Melissa: why didn’t you take the brooch with you?

Hilda: I never wanted it, you were so quick to dash it out, does that Guy mean nothing to you at all

Melissa: please let’s not start this conversation, have you gotten home?

Hilda: yeah I am at my front porch right now

Melissa: okay then talk to you later

Hilda: lissa that Guy is a good man, you mustn’t date him immediately try being friends first

Melissa: I’ve heard you (hangs up)

Melissa put the gift box into her handbag thinking of all Hilda said to her then she drifted off to sleep.
