THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRAVING CHAPTER 3: FUN COMPETITIVE DAY (FCD) The long-awaited competition finally began with a game of darts. The atmosphere in the hall was lively, filled with excitement, laughter, and anticipation. Adrian represented our team, and I stood beside him, silently wishing him luck. Acacia stepped forward, holding the microphone with confidence. “Before we begin, let me quickly go over the rules,” she said. “No cheating, no switching of partners once the game starts, and absolutely no fighting. This event is meant to create beautiful memories, not chaos.” The crowd chuckled. “Each game will be timed. Any misconduct after time is up will lead to immediate disqualification. Two teams will be eliminated after every round.” She paused for effect, smiling brightly. “And only three teams will leave here with gifts—but remember, everyone here is a winner. Let’s make history!” The hall erupted into cheers and applause. “Good luck,” she added playfully, “and may the odds be forever in your favor!” “Wow,” I whispered, nudging slightly. “Don’t Acacia and her husband look so perfect together?” “They really do,” I murmured to myself. “They’re definitely made for each other.” The dart game began shortly after. Each team was required to score at least five hundred points within five attempts. Adrian surprised me. His focus, precision, and calmness were impressive. By the end of the round, we had scored seven hundred and fifty points, securing second place. Sarah and David came first with seven hundred and fifty-five points, while Hibiscus and her boyfriend Justin placed third. The next round was announced—a singing competition. My heart skipped. This was my moment. “I’ve got this,” I whispered confidently. “The song must be about confessing your love,” one of the judges, Helen, instructed. “Each participant has two minutes. Do your best.” When my name was called, I walked toward the stage with confidence—but the moment I stepped onto it, a strange dizziness hit me. Still, I didn’t back down. I took a deep breath and began singing Somebody Needs You by Westlife. As my voice filled the hall, something magical happened—the noise faded. The chatter stopped. The entire room went silent. It reminded me of Lisa from Blackpink—the way she once commanded a crowd effortlessly. In that moment, I felt powerful… like the entire world was listening to me. When I finished, the hall exploded into applause. Cheers echoed around me, and a proud smile spread across my face as I walked down the stage with confidence. Moments later, the results were announced. I got first place. Maya and Chris came second, while Sarah and David placed third. I couldn’t hide my excitement. The next game, however, was something I feared—a dancing competition. My confidence dropped instantly. “I’m not a good dancer,” I admitted quietly to Adrian. He chuckled softly. “Honestly… neither am I.” I sighed. “That’s even worse. I was really hoping we’d win this one.” “Hey,” he said gently, his voice calm and reassuring. “Don’t overthink it. Even if we don’t win, we’ve already made it this far. That’s something to be proud of.” His words comforted me. Adrian stepped forward to represent our team. But when it was his turn… everything changed. The moment the music started, he moved effortlessly—like he had been hiding his talent all along. I froze in shock, then burst into laughter. “Where did he even learn this?” I muttered, shaking my head in disbelief. He wasn’t just good—he was amazing. By the end of the round, we secured first place again. Later, he caught me staring at him. “What did you want to ask me?” he asked with a knowing smile. “Huh? Nothing,” I replied quickly, avoiding his gaze. He smirked. “I learned to dance during a trip to India.” “I didn’t ask,” I said, turning away. “I know,” he replied teasingly. Then suddenly, without warning— “Will you be my girlfriend?” I nearly choked. The question hit me so unexpectedly that I started coughing and pretended like I hadn’t heard anything. My heart was racing. The next game was catwalking, and finally, something I was confident in. I stepped forward with grace and elegance, owning every step I took. By the end, I secured first place once again. When I returned, I noticed Adrian staring at me intensely. “You know staring isn’t polite, right?” I teased. “I’m sorry,” he said softly. “You just… have a beautiful smile.” My heart skipped again. Before I could respond, the next round was announced—a couple dance. I froze. “This is going to be interesting,” Acacia said mischievously. “You’ll be dancing on a sheet of paper. As time goes on, you’ll fold it smaller and smaller.” The music began. Adrian bowed slightly and held out his hand. I placed my hand in his, and we began to waltz. Everything around me faded. The lights, the people, the noise—it all disappeared. It felt like we were the only two people in the world. As the paper got smaller, he suddenly lifted me into his arms and continued dancing effortlessly. My heart raced wildly. I couldn’t stop staring at him. There was something in his eyes… something I couldn’t explain. We ended up placing fourth, but strangely, it didn’t matter. That moment felt more special than any victory. After the round, we were given a break. I sat with Hibiscus, still lost in thought. “You and Adrian looked like a married couple out there,” she teased. I smiled shyly, but before I could respond, something caught my attention. “Wait… isn’t that Acacia’s husband?” “Yes,” Hibiscus replied casually. “And Adrian is his brother.” My eyes widened. “What?!” I stared in disbelief, my mind spinning. Everything suddenly became more complicated than I thought.
