In the morning Shael knew she couldn't let this happen again, she let herself fall into a deep rage she had never let herself feel before. She conjured her feelings of abandonment from the parents she never knew, the grief from losing her adopted family, the pain she saw in Arcaena losing Ailwin, and worst of all what these humans had done to her sister. Her big blue eyes began glowing brightly, she stood and walked over to the bars holding her and Celaena in. She placed her hands on them and melted them into nothing, three guards came running towards her, she quickly through a ball of blue flames engulfing all of them. Shael then grabbed Celaena and made her way downstairs to the boys cell. With the five of them now together Shael passed Celaena off to Theoden "Stay here." she stated simply. Before the others could ask Shael was making her way further down the stairs to find Arcaena. Shael walked the long, dark hallways as if she knew exactly where she was going. She soon stood outside Arcaena's cell "Shael?" Arcaena asked in a hoarse voice. Shael's magic faltered for a moment "I can't hold this much longer, hurry." she said. Arcaena came to the bars of her cell, she and Shael grabbed each other's hands, each girl's magic feeding the others. A large fire of blue and purple grew melting the bars and catching the wood of the castle on fire. Together the girls headed back up the stairs to the others, when Arcaena saw the state of her twin her rage and magic grew "Let's go. This place will be up in flames shortly." she said leading the others up the wooden staircase the guard had taken her up.
The six made their way into the castle Arcaena continuously shot purple flames at every piece of wood she saw, her rage never faltering. Purple and blue fire burned everywhere as the elves were fighting their way out. Once outside they began running, Arcaena looked back and saw Bastian standing outside his now burning castle rage written on his face. She smiled and began shooting fire at him, he managed to dodge each shot but in that moment they both knew the only way this would ever end is with one of them dead. Once far enough away from Cresa the six stood in silence for a moment "Well we can't stay here." Arcaena sighed. The others nodded in agreement "Where do we go though?" asked Ayred. Arcaena looked down for a moment "Back across the sea, to Leanmelle. It's the last of the major elvish cities, it's our best hope to find an army and fight back." she said.
Theoden nodded "Back across the sea we go then." the others agreed. Wyn sighed "One problem, where do we get the wood for boats this time?" he asked. Arcaena turned to Ayred "We don't, our lovely prince here is going to charter a ship this time." she said. Ayred raised an eyebrow "With what gold? It's not like I grabbed pockets full as we were taken captive." he said. Shael let out a small giggle "Do you know how much your clothes alone would fetch?" she asked. Before Ayred could ask Celaena jumped in "Enough to charter five ships!" she laughed. Ayred's confusion only grew "But what will I wear?!" he exclaimed. The others laughed "We won't sell your clothes Ayred! Just the gold necklace." Arcaena said. Ayred looked down at the gold chain hanging from his neck, he had forgotten he was still wearing his funeral clothes. He slowly nodded his head in agreement. The six made their way to the coast and into a small elvish settlement know as Aelenor. Not much bigger than Asisari, Aelenor was a small sea-side village with a thriving fishing economy. Its roads were mostly dirt and mud, ships of all sizes lined its coast. For its small size people of all three races, from all over packed the roads, the humans around made the six nervous. Slowly they made their way to the market district of the village. The area was even more packed than the streets, each white stall with its orange roof had at least ten people around it not counting the shopkeeper. The six made their way to the blacksmiths stall, Ayred removed his gold necklace and slipped it into Theoden's hand "Excuse us sir, how much would you give us for this?" Theoden asked the old grey haired elf. The elf took the necklace and looked it over for a long moment "Twenty gold pieces, no more." he stated. Shael jumped in "I'm sorry sir, but surely it's worth at least forty." she said. The blacksmith shook his head "No miss, no more than twenty, as I said. The craftsmanship isn't all the good, it just isn't worth more." he explained. A bit disappointed Theoden said "Alright twenty gold it is." the six took the gold, bid the old blacksmith goodbye, and made their way back towards the docks.
