I’m just going to jump for it. One… Two… Three…. Silently I pray to all the Gods I can remember the names of and I let go. Something catches my wrists and pulls me up.  My feet slip and my legs are freely swinging below me. My eyes flick to Matthew’s livid ones above me. This is not the magnificent escape I visualized.  “What is wrong with you are you crazy!” He screams at me. Then, “Hey, get in here,” he shouts over his shoulder. Two men rush in, in a rapid assessment of the situation, they each reach over the balcony and grip my arms firmly.
