The impact though was not what I expected. A hand grips my wrist, yanking me backward, and a large strong arm wraps around my waist, pulling me off the street. I crashing me something warm and hard. Blinking myself out of the daze, I find myself wrapped in Jay’s arms, crushed against his chiseled, heaving chest.  He lets go of my wrist, raising that hand to my cup face instead. His other arm still holds me tight against him. “Are you alright?” He rasps.  I’m shocked silent. The absence of the expected impact has my head spinning. I’m lost in his mesmerizing, concerned eyes and secure embrace. Gently, he brushes a stray red lock off my face and tucks it behind my ear.
