Getting her to eat was a f*****g nightmare.
She cried like a child, tears trailing down her cheeks as she turned her face away. She clenched her teeth when I tried to push the spoon past her lips. And when I finally managed to force it in, she threw it all up on me. The meds weren't any easier. I practically shoved them down her throat as she clawed at my wrists like I was killing her.
Hours dragged by, and her skin burned hotter with each passing minute.
Was I supposed to take her to the hospital?
Fuck. She looked like a corpse lying there with her skin pale, lips cracked and dry.
I pressed a finger under her nose every second just to make sure she was still breathing.
I have made corpses, watched the life drain from countless eyes without blinking.
