Alexia was clever enough to take up some cleaning supplies on her way towards the elevators, and though she felt jittery and out of sorts on the inside, she remained confident and impassive on the outside. When she finally wheeled the cleaning cart towards the elevators, her heart pounded heavily in her chest. She was almost in the clear. She pressed the button and waited, trying to maintain a calm exterior. The elevator doors slid open, and she stepped inside, breathing a sigh of relief as the doors began to close.
