Sam’s Pov
“Sammy." I recognize that voice. I open my eyes and see josh staring at me worriedly. “You’re awake." he says with a smile.
I try to sit up but feel a sharp pain.
“Daddy..." Josh shouts.
Mr. Landon rushes in “what’s wrong " he asks.
“I’m fine." I manage. He nods and stands by the door. Josh smiles and jumps on my bed, hugging me.
“I thought you were gonna leave me....." He exclaims.
I smile faintly, but right now all I can think about is mark. I remember going with Carrie. He should be alright. But why isn't he here?
“Sam....guess what the doctor said" josh chirps excitedly.
“What did the doctor say" I ask
“He told my dad that I am taking the treatment better than he thought. Dad said I might stay. "
I smile, happy.
“That’s great" I exclaim honestly.
